    Is Tenacity relevant in EW?

Has anyone done the math yet on how much tenacity makes a difference dps wise. Didn’t know if there are calculated percentages yet. Been looking at balance discord but not much. Didn’t feel like re melding to see the difference. I’m sure it’s not that much but was looking at buying a bunch of materia

    Still never.

Det is beating DH at the moment because of low stat values, but you still want DH to even it out.

Nope. TEN is still just as mediocre as ever.

DET is pretty great, though. If we ever got Direct Hit on our gear innately, I could see a reality where we might actually meld DET more often on non-WARs.

Ok. That’s kind of what I thought. Just didn’t know the exact values. I’m currently a warrior as my first tank choice. So. Crit > DET for me? Is sks even necessary anymore since I no longer have an inner release window?

Det being over DH is a questionable motive atm, will have to see in the future. SKS values is always needed.

It's decent in dungeons when you don't know the quality of your healer and you want to pull big.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

Made an error on miss read. If you're Warrior maining, it's still Det > DH.

yes, crit>det. SKS is unecessary, but unavoidable considering current gear. go with what you're comfy with.

What everyone else is saying is more or less still the norm; tenacity's value is still fairly low for what it is. However, with that being said, it works well enough for the short term, as melding tenacity is perfectly feasible for progression. Normally when going into new savage content, I'll focus a bit more on tenacity at first until I've gotten a good understanding of new mechanics and what to expect in regards to incoming damage. Once I've gotten the ground work of the fights down, I'll change gears and focus more on damage melds. So nothing's changed with tenacity; good for the short term but still not recommended for the long term.

So in other words it's a trash stat to meld.
