    Also I want to point out that these first 2 ex are almost always embarrassingly easy. It took me half a lockout for ZEX to down after going in blind and HEX took a whole lockout. They shouldn't be balancing job around this content. That's what savage and ultimate is for.

    Those jobs from FFXI are the reason I'm healing here and why I leveled DNC and BRD. Healers and those two classes are the closest I'm ever gonna get to Corsair and I'm still sad about it. So yeah please don't give them ideas about axing healers. Just give us more buffs to give or something.

    Lets be real here, Dancer is as much of a support Class as anyone else is in this game. Also, Squeenix isnt going to reinvent the wheel anew by doing such a choice.

    Uhh…Bard doesn’t actually have any utility though? It has party damage buffs. It can’t heal, or raise, or shield, or do anything support-y worth doing. It buffs damage and that’s it.

    Dancer has utility like Curing Waltz and Improvisation but Waltz has a cool-down Improvisation is a massive DPS loss for fairly little reward (aka barely worth slotting on a hot bar outside of snapshotting for a tick or two). Channeling it for the full duration is likely to get you weird looks and the ire of your healers for not doing your job, DPS. The Dancer is still very much a damage dealer and not a ‘supporter’…yet healing requirements in this game are so allow that even this dps job can heal through endgame, with support abilities that aren’t even that strong. Of course the Dancers not Reapers were solely responsible for the healing but it’s still true that even low return healing from DPS jobs can surmount healing requirements just by putting them together.

    I wonder if this same thing could be replicated with Summoners and Red Mages doing the healing in place of Dancers and Reapers? They all seem to have at least equal healing power so I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if no-healer runs was possible with a variety of comps and not just one specific combination of jobs.
