    for people that has this problem, do you use a wireless headset? and if you use one, is one of those where the usb audio card disconnects when you turn of the headset? or the headset is always connected even if is physically powered off?

    The headset or sound output does not matter. Personally, I plug into the audio jack, a friend uses a USB + wired setup, and another is having it happen with speakers. That being said, I don't tend to disconnect my headset.
