If it were not intended to switch back to classes, SE would only allow you to remove the soul crystal when you switch to a class for which you have not equipped the corresponding job. Being that you CAN remove the soul crystal almost any time you like, it IS an intended mechanic. Therefore, it's not an option I'm willing to ignore should the situation arise where it would be useful to switch to a class.

Please send me a medium-sized notebook. I need to make a list of all the things that seem to be going over your head.

The fact that we can equip/unequip soul crystals mean we have the choice to use classes or jobs whenever we like.

The design philosophy behind the Job system was to have it used in Full Parties and be more effective than classes. How? By giving them powerful, exclusive abilities as well as role-specific attributes that allow them to do their job better than any class. What's the cost? You don't get to do everything, and thus rely on others. Such is teamwork.

After months and months of designing jobs to make them balanced and effective to that end, and stating that content is to be balanced based on a party of jobs, if we end up requiring people on classes for the most effective strategy, SE has failed.

That's all I'm saying. You can do w/e you like. Whatever floats your boat.
