Getting support for ppl with epilepsy or any other photosensitivity health concerns

I have sent an email to the customer support but got a generic answer. I have people in my family that have epilepsy who absolutely love this game but this latest xpac is way to flashy. I just want to get some traction hopefully here to get them to implement on option to disable enemy effects and just have AoE markers placed on the ground. I have someone who is dear to me that pushes themselves so hard that they will throw themselves into a seizure to run a dungeon in this game. I just want more ppl to be able to enjoy this game as safely as possible. So hopefully more ppl who have someone in their families that has this health condition is able to enjoy this game or do a roulette without having extreme anxiety bc they are afraid of what dungeon they could get. If we as a community can pull together for this one small and insignificant change that will have a huge impact on alot of ppls lives it would be awesome. Much love and respect to everybody out there and stay safe.

You are so right! They should add this.

The RP community is more toxic than the Raid community.

Thank you very much for your post and raising awareness of this important issue. Sorry to hear your family member is dealing with this.

I am very sensitive to flashing lights and they make me dizzy and disoriented. I also have trouble tracking movement with my eyes and the flashing effects make that even more difficult. Everything just looks like a blur of flashing light with any kind of battle. With dungeons it just a confusing blur of motion and light and impossible to follow the character movements. But other flashing lights in the game are an issue too.

For now I am sticking mostly with crafting and the gold saucer games, and avoiding combat play. But it is very disapointing when friends want me to run dungeons with them, and it is a bad experience for me and them too because I can not do well because of this. I really like the game otherwise. I'm on the trial of the game now, was considering a subscription, but not sure I want to sink money into a game I can't play that is making me ill.

We really need a way to disable these various effects as needed. I hope support will read this and add some toggle options and more accessibility options for the game. I will write to them also.

There is an option in the Character Settings to turn down or disable visual effects in combat.
