It's not changing anything for now since even with demolition active extremely few houses were becoming available. The log in congestion should be resolved by the time 6.1 is released so I expect the demolition timer to be resumed at the same time Ishgard opens for purchase.

Doesn't work too well if it's your FC trying to get the house.

Ishgard should be about 4 months away now (I expect it to open in 6.11, not 6.1). We'll have to see how many players and FCs are still looking for a house after the dust settles.
