Sincere Recommendation: Accept you will not be able to play, walk away for a while

In current situation, yes, you are really asking if impossible.
Estimated lost of 21 days for entire playerbase is up to around 12 millions US dollars, on top of all holding sales during Chrimas shopping season; a period where NA has most purchasing power is a huge loss.
Please name me a gaming company willing to take such loss.

Beside, all company's projection was done near Q4 2020 (all company fiscal year start on Oct as Q1) right in middle of chip shortage where the plan for new datacenter.
Out of no where, WoW exodus happened at Jan 2021 and an increase of FF14 popularity in Jun 2021.
How are they going to know?
Right now, you are sitting here point finger only because it is after the fact, it doesn't make you wiser or smarter.
None of us expect population growth this rapidly.
I personally only expecting que to be around 2,000 at worst before expansion.

Not to mention, US government always has a plan for how to deal with pandemic, did that work well with Covid 19?

I'm asking for an idea of how full the servers are and that is pointing fingers? Are you guys doing this to me on purpose or am I missing something? If the servers are full, I cant play. If I can't play, why would I buy the game? "Hey we don't got the space" would get an "ok i'll try anyway or just wait" from me. Im not blaming them for not having a bunch more servers or blaming them for not being prepped for covid either. If you can't provide the product then ok i guess but im not going to still buy it.

FF was fine before the WoW exodus and got more so afterwards which is a good thing. Kick blizzard in the teeth by making a better product to get them to try harder and I have 2 tab target sub based mmos to play. It isn't my fault they can't handle the surge though. SE is clearly doing something about it at the moment but outside of people leaving or them getting more servers the big issue isnt going to go away. A datacenter sub count would at least let people know before hand what they are getting into is all.

Are you not aware there is something called time zone?
You really thinks if server only has 17,000 spaces and they should only sell 17,000 copies?
Some Asian players do come to play on NA servers and they are no different time zone.
This is not those private sever host by your friend

All I going to say, someone just offer you an alternative to play, google on how to do remote desktop instead of complaining on something already happened and there is no solution in immediate future.

Are you saying SE has no way of seeing or displaying these numbers. The other guy didn't want to answer that either for some reason. I don't mind being wrong it was just an idea I though might ease things up a bit. You and the other guy went right to being condescending with out saying what the issue is though.

How are they going to find out the age group, time zone of each copy sold?
How are they going to tell from sale record (right now mostly are done digital) or preorder on what type of customers bought your game?
How are they going to know each individual's login time?
Especially we are talking about fresh subscription?
If you can do that yourself, you definitely need to submit a resume to any large company.

Why would they need to do any of that if it was ment to be a rough guess in the first place? All they need is current sub counts and copies sold to just warn people they might run into issues. 500k cap 600k subs means yeah the high pop server might have queues but you should be fine based on players not all playing at once. 500k cap and 800k subs? Ok just a heads up queues are 100% going to be happening and depending on you server it might be pretty long. 500k cap and 1mil subs? You will have a queue and the servers may have some issues. You were warned.

They could even use this to say "hey things seemed to have dropped off in this datacenter" if people want to make alts/transfer over or come back after waiting a bit as well.

Edit: They don't even need to say the sub number though it would be nice. Would be nice if every mmo did something like this at least.
