can finally attain level 100?
When I was growing up, I wanted to be 100 years old.
As I've aged I've realized I don't wish to experience being anywhere remotely as decrepit, but ascension to 100 as a WOL should still be satisfying.

Won’t change much since levels may probably be scaled down after a while, just like stats.
WoW did that for Shadowlands because it’s unattractive to new players, too many levels to get to current content etc.
I just wish we could have a conversation on here without mentioning WoW for one day. You're not wrong, but I'm just sick of it. I'm getting fatigued over the conversations about WoW. Especially with all the crap that Blizzard/Activision is doing to its employees.
I just hope it will be a challenge for once, I'm not liking how high level monsters are just being curbstomp like usual, and the mechanics are just plain bad and nonsensical in their execution like in previous expansions (makes me feel like I was trapped in Tutorial Gridania still) the only real good change I've seen is that normal Trials were actually decently balanced as it should be considering it was the end of a saga, and a couple of dungeons had some decent bosses but some bosses were way too easy.
Its annoying any challenge is still regulated that is not MSQ, I swear if a lvl100 monster is pathetic I'm gonna question their gameplay philosophy over there at SE because I don't understand why they keep doing this.
Why have level 100? Maybe they'll throw us a curveball and have us cap at 99.
I’m using WoW as an example because it’s the only MMO I know that had such high levels (120), and then scaled down both level and stats. Which SE will probably do for the same reason (being attractive to new players).
Nothing crazy about it, don’t be like that.
I'm not expecting level 100 to feel mechanically different from any other level cap, but level 100 in itself would probably feel... special?
I know Endwalker is the culmination of the WOL's journey since ARR, but reaching 3 digits of accumulated experience will feel like a new beginning.
I agree.
I don't have and innate disdain for WOW as a product, but hearing some of the horror stories of Activision Blizzard would make me to prefer to hear of it as little as possible.
I would love this, but unfortunately I can't see it happening.I just hope it will be a challenge for once, I'm not liking how high level monsters are just being curbstomp like usual, and the mechanics are just plain bad and nonsensical in their execution like in previous expansions (makes me feel like I was trapped in Tutorial Gridania still) the only real good change I've seen is that normal Trials were actually decently balanced as it should be considering it was the end of a saga, and a couple of dungeons had some decent bosses but some bosses were way too easy.

Fingers crossed the sentiment ends up reflecting reality though!

Depends rather we are going out on our own are not, because I'm so sick of scions and their pointless actions (die for greater and being brought back is old ...)
It would also match up with FFXI. Level cap 99 with various post-cap methods of stat growth, but seeing how that's a horizontal progression style game I'm not sure they'd opt for that here.
