Not really that useful, I mean ppl could just kick offline players just to be complete jerks. What would be the point of joining an ls if this is added?

not really useful? it's alot more useful then having to rebuild your ls and move all members to a new one every few months due to people being inactive taking up your limited member spots.
i understand someone could kick people being a jerk but, then again, if the leader is like that and does that to its members who would want to be in that ls in the first place? i know i wouldn't.

It's only good point.
That's one scenario, but let's say I decide to take a break from the game for a couple of months and I come back to find myself without an ls. I learn the ls didn't break or reform, but I'm not given a reason for why I'm let go...then what?

Then you have to accept that the reason for you being kicked was you were inactive.
This happens in other MMO's all the time, people don't want dead weight in their LS list especially if they never come back, of course if you say hey I'm going on holiday for a month don't kick me whilst I'm gone and they do then you might have a point.
If that was to happen then you just have to chalk it up to a jerk LS leader maybe.
The pros far outweigh the cons though.

Or find another ls and tell the previous one to f*** offThen you have to accept that the reason for you being kicked was you were inactive.

If you tell your leader and they still kick you, do you want to be in that LS?
If you're inactive and the LS cannot invite ACTIVE people to the LS because you're taking up slots for a INACTIVE character why should you take priority?
Are you for real......................

Agreed. Antanias, this sense of entitlement that you get is profound! IA means you aren't playing. SO, if the LS you're in is nearing full capacity and needs to free up room for more ACTIVE members. By all right, you have no say in the matter. At that point it should be on YOU, as a player and member of said LS, to have a good standing with that LS to hold a spot for you. Linkshells purposes fall under Endgame or Social. If it's a endgame LS, they are only wanting Active members filling its slots, not a bunch of IA members, who will show up from time to time. As for a Social, since the requirements won't be as steep it's understandable that a periodic stop in play is acceptable. . .
Think about the LS as a whole, not for your own purposes.

Didn't mean to come off as such, I only asked b/c stuff like this CAN happen to anyone. I also didn't see this matter discussed in previous threads so it never hurts to bring up the subject.Agreed. No prob bro! Just have to talk to the officers of the LS. If it's remotely a good LS they'll not boot you and understand. And if you do get booted and you liked the LS, And you were a good member, I have a hard time believing they wouldn't give you a pearl back. If not, then give them the big F You.

well i know any ls that i have been in if someone said they are taking a few months off and are returning nobody mentions getting rid of them. the only people that we ever mentioned getting rid of was people that either just left without warning, people that had been gone for months without saying anything, or people that had told us directly that they were quitting the game.
also, i know not all ls's do this but most i know of always have a few alts in the shell for holding materials or port buddies, but if you were returning to the game and they had kicked you i would be suprised if they wouldn't kick an alt to let a long time member back in the shell. if they kick someone because of inactivity it inconveniences one person trying to get back in if they return, but if you have to reform for the same reason then you inconvenience everyone in the shell.
