SGE's Dosis III sound spam is unbearable to my ears.

I don't know if I'm more sensitive to the abrasive and high pitched sound effects for both starting cast animation and the spell itself, but it's getting to a point where I'm considering another healer for raid.

As with all healers, the main spell you're casting is your bread and butter DMG ability over long periods, but compared to AST or WHM it's really beginning to grate on my ears.

I feel as though Dosis II was much better not only in animation and sound, but also the player animation too. It felt more relaxed.

Am I in the minority here? I'd love to be able to individually adjust the volume for just this ability because I do love the job. It's just making me sad that I can't stand it over extended periods.

You know what other sound effect that bothered me? Coincidentally it is from a Healer too.

The Broil IV's sound from Scholar.

It's like the Scholar yelling HYUK! HYUK! HYUK! every single time it is cast, hahah.

The Sage skills are high pitched and do grate for me as well and i find them quite irritating but I will just have to live with it. Scholar Broil IV the Hyuk noise is definitely there and very odd I miss the Broil II/III noises.

go to sound settings and enable bass boost. FFXIV has very high semblance effects. I run an equalizer with boosted bass and lowered highs on top of this for the same reasons.

I just tried this out but sadly the game ends up sounding too boomy/boxy for my headphones. But thanks for the suggestion!

Nothing will ever annoy me more than the sound of multiple Medica 2's going off after a single raidwide, then continuing to go after every avoidable aoe. The sound of cure 1 and physick going off is a close second though.
