I should really be all 50's now (having played this game on and off since release with no job or study to get in the way and not playing any other MMO's much) but I prefer to play at my own pace rather than rush through everything. Meanwhile, people who've been playing for a month (around work/studying no less) have all 50s but have never heard of a behest or know that there are butterflies in Gridania. It doesn't really seem like one's schedule has much of a baring on things anymore, it's more about how people choose to play.


Edit: PS. Many leave the game running 24/7 just sitting around town or a camp fire while AFK (not talking about botters, just sitting/standing still). That's another reason why there are so many on all the time.

I'm the same, I take my time. I have to take breaks when I get sick, but even when I play, I play multiple characters and I go at a slow pace. I'd be bored if I rushed everything. I'll enjoy leveling jobs when they come out. :3

Firefighter 24 hrs on 48 hrs off. Can play at work but I only solo or craft and gather due to afk due to running calls. Days off can play while wife is at work and kid in school. I play while doing passive chores like laundry. Have battle classes at at 50 and cul at 47. So am on a lot but still can pull off life when not in eorzea.

I was a stay-at-home housewife so I had lots of time for FFXIV, but a few months ago I went back to working full time.

I know other people who were on all the time for various reasons: work at home job, work odd hours, work rotating shifts, housewife, etc.

What I love about the FF community is most are Adults. Unlike some other MMO's that are full of nothing but 12 y/o's
