In your defense, I needed to remind myself who the red-eyed catboy was when his hood flew off on Mt. Gulg. Even when it said 'say his name' all dramatically, they didn't actually say his name.

I love that they brought him back since I loved his character in post-ARR, but... damn if they didn't wait their sweet time to do so.

Yeah, but it didn't even change his nameplate or his name in dialogue. He was the Crystal Exarch, from the moment we met him to the moment we dragged his [REDACTED] back to the Source.

some of ARR is really mundane and boring no doubt, it picks up in heavensward and then lull's again in stormblood- there is so much meaningless dialogue that you get lost and forget what it was originally over, now not all of it is like that - just anything to do with MSQ. Also the most annoying boss lines in the history of FF. *forced maniacal laughter* "RRRRHIP AN TEAARR: MOAR, MOAR, MOAR"
i still dont remember stormblood, other than a certain future enemy's hard-on crush on our character. i do recommend trying to pay attention to it as best as you can, and recap when needed.

I was following most of it up until I hit that duty where I played as a random person in Garlemald . I was so mad over that duty because it never explained one thing and I hate play as another character any way, that I skipped the cut scenes after I finally finished it. And since then I have just been skipping everything. Still having fun though despite that, I always did enjoy quests, just stopped caring about the story.

Does The Unending Journey actually have *all* cutscenes you've unlocked/viewed? I seem to recall I tried looking through it once and couldn't find several scenes I'd wanted to have play over again. Is there a website or YouTube resource with a library of all those cutscenes? It'd be fun to revisit some of those past story moments.

It should have every cutscene you've viewed, though they are split up annoyingly. Story significant end-of-dungeon cutscenes are in a separate 'dungeon' tab instead of in with the story, for example.
