Also 1.0 was at least playable, we’re talking about literally unable to play the game AT ALL. That’s not even a launch imo. That’s a waste of time and money.

1.0 was... playable? Even the MENU back then was reliant on server side communication and simple things just as opening your character tab lagged for minutes on end. The opening cutscene was reduced to a power point slide presentation that nearly melted most people's hardware back then. Saying it was playable is really, really a stretch.

By comparison, once IN the game with Endwalker, the experience for the vast majority of people is buttery smooth.

I'll say again, EW is nowhere even close to the worst launch in MMO history. All of you have every right to be upset and voice your complaints and grievances, but don't make obvious terrible comparisons or gross exaggerations when your viewpoints don't require them.

It doesn't have to be the "worst launch in MMO history" to have a valid point that the 2002 and 90002 errors should be looked at and continually addressed, or that SE starts comping more free gametime to compensate for the loss of subscription time paid for and wasted. You're being disingenuous with this over exaggeration.

Wow, way to be an adult about things, attacking the work from home community as if the people who do work from home aren't doing their jobs. I work from home as an IT consultant and I'm immune system compromised due to chemo from a year ago. I guess I just sit on my ass all day and do nothing, huh?

I'm sorry you can't get into the game, and it's a legitimate grievance that a portion of this community is struggling with right now. That still does NOT make this the worst launch in MMO history. Thousands of people are able to get into the game and play it. The game is functioning. The log in servers, against the huge increase of population, is what is struggling.

You don't need overly inflated and incorrect comments to lend credence to your grievances and valid points, is the point I'm trying to make. Voicing your unsatisfaction with the product is your right but making clearly factual incorrect statements doesn't do you aid, it does your argument harm. I understand when emotions are running high, people tend to say all kinds of things, but in this case you don't need to sit there making clearly embellished comments that just incite more arguments from people.

Voice your concern over the 2002's, 90002's, 3001's, and the long queue waits. Voice your thoughts in terms of what compensation or things that SE can do to aid in this situation. Don't, however, make factually incorrect comments that do nothing to back up your claims.

1.0 was FAR worse than EW's launch. ARR, for a time, was also far worse in regards to the NA datacenters. HW's and Stormblood had their own issues that people thought were the "worst ever". The fact remains that once past the queue, for the VAST majority of the players, the game itself is fine and even great. You're conflating apples to oranges.

It sucks people who have to work but people who have take time off I question what time were you logging on?. I am on Odin and have been logging up to 9am everyday since launch and had less <100 in queue and had no problem. Same as a friend who took time off on Odin it hasn't been an issue. I dont care to defend square or the fact people cannot get in but the people taking time off to just play EW and not avoiding peak sounds odd to me.

I know i shouldnt say this, but since things are really f...d up for everyone who comes home in the late afternoon we have to look out for a solution ourselfs. SE wont help us thats for sure and dont use the chip shortage as an excuse to defend SE, the issue was well known years ago before the chip shortage even started and they did excatly nothing because they didnt wanted to invest extra money into a game that generates millions of dollars for them each month!

You could maybe try using Duct Tape on your Controller or stick something between the keys of your keyboard to keep your char busy and avoid getting kicked. Didnt tryed it myself yet but if it works you dont even need to use 3t party software which is against ToS. (p.s. i never heard of a case where someone got a bann because he used it to avoid getting kicked to avoied these horrible que issues.)

You could also get a cat and train her to sleep on your keyboard while you are away, i guess that should do the trick to.

Once again, at least in those expansions we could at least log in and play around in the world. There is not much novelty in sitting around waiting for the Q to go down while panicking about being randomly disconnected due to the spaghetti code.

All I was trying to express is that, at least in my opinion from all of the MMO's I've experienced in my life, this isn't the worst launch ever. It has issues, definitely. Do I think some of the lines SE are feeding us are layered with corporate speak and that YoshiP probably has been mandated carefully by their PR team in what to say? Probably. I've just seen some REAL stinkers when it's come to MMO's, games that are so broken they are outright unplayable, or brick your system, require driver roll backs, etc.
