    There's really nothing to be annoyed by. If anything, one could claim that it enriches the experience rather than detracts from it.

    You have the Scenario-based system to stay in-line with the story/characters, and the Avatar-version, which is where you can manually level up avatars of your companions, even via dungeons they weren't present for and/or couldn't possibly be part of at all. It is still literally "Trust" in the menu despite this, whereas "Avatars" is technically more descriptive/informative of what is actually taking place.

    Ktisis Hyperboreia and Holminister Switch are good examples when you compare their Scenario vs Avatar variants.

    Sucks that it takes some feeling away for you, but personally, I couldn't fathom why it ever would for anybody. It makes total sense.
