I don't think the game's direction is sustainable anymore (ending spoilers)

PSVR2 + Meta Quest will prob give XIV, XI (and a lot of other games) new leases on life if they manage to convert to AR/VR. There are already a lot of XI environments on VRChat that are amazing to be in, even if they only have a few people present at a time.

This would be a good opportunity to take a break from Alphi and Alisaie and give them new character models. They can't stay as children forever.

They are elves. In ff14 they take a loooooot longer to grow up than other races. They could stay looking like teens for another 10 years and be fine.

- Threatening to undo the laws of existence
- To become a god of everything (already explored by other games)
- Reform the existing universe into something else
- Making a sacrifice to prevent the eventual death of the universe

These are all really rushed ideas I just thought of, there are thousands of ideas so don't worry.

And Emet said we should not be to happy, cause another apocalypse will come for sure. So i guess the final days will come in the past and Lord Zordiak will be summoned again. Will he be only in the past then or will he be in the Future too? So many questions. Maybe we will help in the past.

Eh no, Yoshi had said "repeatly" 6.0 is the end of the Zodiak vs Hydaelyn story. 6.1 onward will set up for a new story. Whatever that is, it won't be Zordiak.

They can say whatever they want but they've written so many ways to bring most characters back into the game that it's not even funny. Guess they are kind of like Blizzard in that regard, stashing away fan favorites and breaking the glass in case of emergency. And even better than Blizzard they actually managed that without massive retcons. Hopefully that emergency never comes but it's nice that they are prepared.

I hope we continue to space travel and visit other worlds. The ending of Endwalker was not good. Having everything wrapped up in space so fast was disappointing. Suddenly we return from beating the sadness out of a little girl and back to the old same travels.

I don't think there can be anything as high stakes as the Endsinger, so in that sense we have kind of peaked... Only way they could go higher is basically repeat Endwalker, except for a Multiverse rather than just the universe but that would just be rather lazy.

For further adventures though, we still have places in Etheirys we haven't seen. And with the Ragnarok, we do have some new options of places to go to... I'm not entirely clear on how exactly the reflections work, but if they exist out there as separate planets, there should still be 5 of the 13 (looking online, the 4th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 11th) shards that we know nothing about.

Honestly. I really don't mind, shifting down 2 or even 3 gears now.
Since this thread was rendered spoiler open, i can safely say Endwalker 6.0 has tugged at my heart multiple times and i will never forget the stakes we've encountered here.

The mentality our WoL has, is really something. Despite what the world throws at them, they continue, unabated, unshaken.


Walk on, forge ahead, never look back.
For those we have lost, for those we can yet save!

The fall out from the events of Endwalker between Zodiark's demise causing drastic shifts in the world's flow of aether as well as a lingering threat from terminus beasts/blasphemies both seem like easy catalysts for future adventures and problems.

Looking at the sheer scale of the New World and Meracydia from the moon also puts into perspective just how little of the world we've seen still.
