I tend to drift towards melee types, but I admit that after first trying Ninja, and then samurai, and finally dragoon to 50, I've been overwhelmed by the sheer number of abilities each class has. I was hoping with more practice I would be ok, but well, queue times happened.

ahh yes, the old start at this level, here are a bunch of abilities...good luck, I feel that. The best way I have found to learn a new class from the bottom up is to run the palace of the dead, which starts at level 1 and lets you learn the class ability by ability until level 60. from there i think heaven on high could work for the next 20 levels or so, though i can't be sure as I have yet to unlock it. its how i've been learning sage and reaper, Though sage is the priority, I tend to heal more than anything lol

But I have had zero issues getting on Zalera even in early access.

Seems only the obviously way overpopulated servers are having these issues still. At this point y'all need to take some responsibility for rolling on those servers, that you knew were overpopulated, when you could have started on the non-congested ones. They even give Road to 70 and 80 buffs for these servers.

And you're level 81. You aren't getting an Endwalker refund unless you want your character/account locked until you get Endwalker again.

I mean it is not so clear cut. I would also say no refund for the game but for sure time..
The expansion was the price of a full game which if i recall was $80 for me plus on top of that the sub amount and premise of early access which really has not been a thing.
I have been able to get on 3 times total since "early access"
Really undecided but thinking strongly of unsubbing for a bit, no sense of paying for something cannot even play.

Past expansions we also had issues just not as severe as now, there comes a time where not everything is because of Covid.

can probably blame WoW for the price of an expansion being the price of a full game. they have charged full game price forever, so became the norm. myself, no need to unsub, havent had many errors after the first morning of EA when I tried foolishly to log in when it came up. first time I ever saw that error so did what I saw to do online, and only had a few times since. yes, still get stuck in queues if its later in the day, but have gotten lots of play time in.

Forum join date not your square enix join date. They are seperate, I also have more game time then my forum time.

Well as a new player still trying to get into the game and find a class I gel with, this launch has been detrimental to my playing time to say the least. After a week of not being able to play I cancelled my subscription, which is a shame because I like the game, but I don't have time to wait in monster queues Maybe I'll be back when this gets fixed.

Fellow newbie here! I definitely feel where you are coming from. I am a full-time worker that starts in the morning and ends in the evening, so time is a scarce resource for me. If you do have the time in your schedule to try logging in somewhere after 11 PM EST or honestly any time before 12 PM EST, you should have much better luck with the queue times. I was also kind of in that place of frustration where you have barely experienced the game yet and can't really even access it with all of this commotion going on. It is definitely worth trying out again at a less tumultuous time, and I hope you get to find the best class to enjoy yourself with when you return!
