Eh, can vary. I'm currently wired in, but my ethernet cable is wobbly, and if it wiggles loose, I get an instantaneous 90k, even though my computer immediately switches over to wifi.

More accurately, as discussed elsewhere, the issue may very well be less player-related, more ISP/routing related.
