The queues just keep getting worse and worse. During the first days people would log in, play and log out once they were done allowing more people in.
But as days passed and it became apparent that SE was unable or unwilling to fix the problem, more and more people started using 3rd party programs to bypass the AFK-Logout. And every morning when the queues go down more and more free trial bot accounts sneak in and never log out.
SE needs to start taking decisive actions. Start banning people that bypass the AFK-Logout and assign more people to the special task force to ban bots daily, not every 15 days.
All of these solutions would greatly alleviate the server stress without having to buy new expensive servers which has already been stated not to be an option.

I mean as an Australian player I can wait till all the American players go to sleep and play but I would be furious if I was an American player.
Can only imagine things are much worse for them and really do feel bad for them since they can only really play without the bad queues after midnight or some other ridiculous time.
Well, of course. You should have known back when Fabul/Balmung was just the 'friendly, highly multi-national community' of lower-middling size that it'd eventually become a memey, overpopulated ERP haven. That's on you, man.
<-- Likewise originally from Balmung, though I transferred twice since, both back during ARR. Sadly, my French and German, especially, faded quickly thereafter.
I shall never understand the constant defending of computer game companies for launching things that are basically unplayable for a large group, because they just don't want to invest in the infrastructure to prevent it.
You are basically defending multi-million dollar companies, unwilling to invest in their product beyond the bare minimum required to keep it running, because of some bizarre mentality of support mixed with, dare I say it, some form of Stockholm Syndrome. Always arguing that "...it will get better over time" or "It's your fault for choosing to play at X time" or "the queues aren't that bad, stop whining" etc.
They don't care about you. They aren't your buddy or friend. They are simply producing something to make profit, and people act like either wanting a refund for not being able to utilise a service they are paying for when they want to is somehow a personal attack on themselves and their favoured beloved company, so they simply must defend it.
It is beyond asinine, and almost weirdly unique to the gaming industry. No other industry would ever really get away with this, and blame is placed on the individuals for "moaning", "choosing a busy server", "not playing at the right time", or hundreds of other bizarre explanations, rather than just asking "Why did the company not prepare better beyond the minimum effort required?", which time and time again, these companies do.
It is beyond hilarious.
(...and now someone will reply to this mocking me, or acting is if I am some kind of "Karen" for raising a basic consumer rights issue, which is beyond hilarious, with all honesty.)

it is pretty rare that you will get d/c from queue twice due to the game itself or SE's servers
sure it does happen to people on occasion, but in no way is it correct or remotely fair to call endwalker unplayable at this point
do you even get some satisfaction out of "trolling" the forums when almost everybody calls your questionable opinions out? I thought trolls wanted to make people mad?
yes? what's the point of your posts other than adding to your post count? the poster both of you quoted posted that to prove the troll wrong, who said they have no problems logging in, probably because they're a NEET and start to play in the morning and not during 'normal' gaming hours

So cute of you to insult others. Such a terrible little temper tantrum you're throwing. Mother must be proud.yes? what's the point of your posts other than adding to your post count? the poster both of you quoted posted that to prove the troll wrong, who said they have no problems logging in, probably because they're a NEET and start to play in the morning and not during 'normal' gaming hours
No need to lie, sunshine.

That assumption is one of the primary reasons you are correct to say you do not understand.
Launching a service using millions of high-availability, moderate throughput, persistent and active connections is not as simple as just ramping up lots of AWS instances.
Even in times of stable supply chains developers should expect 3-10 day turnaround on mitigating these type of issues. When you launch a service and have so many new users instantly hit, the team has to collect metrics on resource usage and usage patterns. Computers cannot simply predict the behavior of millions of players stress-testing a brand new release, there is too much variation. This has to be done by users.
That's why in most commercial services you "ramp up", grabbing small portions of the market at a time. However media and games especially don't work that way. This is true for any large-scale, active mmo.. It is practically unavoidable and you should realize that as a consumer. Really that is one of the primary reasons to have early access, to get metrics.
• Once you have metrics, you identify bottlenecks and glitches.
• New servers are requested and right now there is a lead time on those servers until they become available to SE.
• Simultaneously patches are being worked on, numerous server side mitigations already have been implemented by this time
• Once the servers are available, the must be deployed and tested
• Finally the servers are brought into production where new metrics are taken and the process repeats until sufficient
This is roughly how any launch of this magnitude is going to go. You aren't as used to experiencing the wait because in normal times there's usually only hours to wait on servers at worst, not days or weeks.
Some are complaining are very quick to ignore the chip shortage issue; look that in the face. Suppliers are rationing. No matter how big you are there are logistic problems with that which can't be waived away with a simple payment. You could pay extra to skip the queue, just like the PS5 you'll end up paying a good 250% markup and all that money is taken out of other needs of the game. There's only so much you can justify spending before you're hurting the consumer on the other end.
