It still works on dungeon bosses. I don't know who told you differently but they are not correct.

This is one of the reason I left WoW, They would have us work for something or buy something an then take away the best part of what we bought. Two things come to mind, one is the water strider, the other is the BoA leveling gear. I left WoW and I never thought I would see this here, so surprising.

It would appear the consensus from people who are able to get on and test it is showing that the earring still fulfills its intended purpose (increasing exp% from monster kills). So the only problematic thing is it not working in Bozjan content apparently but that's already such a huge boost to leveling that I imagine it's not necessary. I'll take the L on assuming it didn't work on dungeon bosses since I'm apparently blinder than my prescription would imply and missed it in the chatlog lol

For me though the ring was just a bonus for pre-ordering and served no exp purpose for me until EW landed and I suddenly had two new jobs below 80 to level, so I definitely had nothing taken away from my purchase. It could be the OP missed the chatlog message as well, assuming their post is in good faith of course.

I hope though that they'll boost sidequest XP and overworld FATEs a lot, and I still hope for a new deep dungeon, because I can't get to Zadnor -- Bozja is just so terrible that I don't feel like "fighting through".

Yeah I can understand that feeling for sure, hopefully they do make other content a bit juicier in terms of exp for the sake of viable options. Dungeon spam is always my thing, but I may be crazy.

FATEs felt about the same to me after the number crunch they did, it took about 15 I think to go from blank 80 to 81 but honestly it's been so long since I grinded FATEs for anything in ShB that I could be misremembering. I had got everything to cap with Trusts before that was an option and I hear it's even faster now so could be an option if grinding Bozja is unappealing.

Nobody use the earrings since leveling reaper and sage (and other level 80 to 81) is faster with bozja...

It doesn't work in Bozja only because Bozja is already scaled to 80, which is the highest level Menphina's Earrings can sync up to before it loses its EXP bonus. Gear also doesn't matter that much in Bozja.
