    Well we purchased a product which is semi unplayable at the moment (playability depends on what times you play). I was unable to play the game all week due to queue times and 2002 errors therefore the product SE sold me doesn't work. Just because the actual game is fine, getting to the game isn't there for it is technically a broken product. And this just isn't Endwalker but also for people who just bought FFXIV: The Complete Edition too.

    Not say SE should just refund everyone play but if people want a refund and have the product (Endwalker expansion or The Entire Game) removed from their account, SE should do the right thing and offer that.

    Why Refund Endwalker, instead of giving more Free Playtime for the time that it was basically unplayable?

    If at any point you were able to access Endwalker Content....what, you want to just be kicked back to Limsa and loose your levels and gear and access to the jobs and Male Viera?
    Because you need Endwalker to access that content, and if your given a Refund for Endwalker, your giving the Expansion back and surrendering your access to it.

    Do you want to lose endwalker and get back your money on that? Or would you rather just get the playtime you lost back?
    Those are 2 different requests, and I think it would do alot of good to specify what you want instead of making a Broad Statement like that.

    I think the OP just wants playtime reimbursed, but also thinks that full refunds for those who request it is a reasonable ask.

    Because the dirty truth that nobody wants to hear or admit is SE has to start shedding players, plain and simple. The game has too many players and not enough space for them. New players or Returning players are more likely to quit than those how have played for years. Refunds are more of a carrot to get people to leave until they get a new Data Center.

    They should. But if it's as bad as people say, continuing to give them money for it seems pretty contradictory to me.

    I wouldn't recommend the game in its current state to new players. Would advise them to discontinue their subs and possibly return in a months time after the congestion is possibly dealt with.

    My worry is that even in a month SE will have done nothing.

    cancelling your subscription doesnt work like that. if i cancel my sub right now with 20 days of playtime remaining, all that happens is that after 20 days i wont get automatically charged for the next 30 day period

    if i went by your suggestion i would lose 20 days of sub, or over 60% of the playtime i payed for. "not that hard".
