To all the people who are complaining about login queues

To the op, I don't excuse the incompetence that developers had with designing this queue system. Or not having a grace period when you get dced.


Telling people to unsub just because they are unhappy with a certain aspect of the game lacks tact to say the least. A ruined experience is sad, but the game offers more to players than just that. With that being said a first impression of an expansion only happens once, and it got ruined cause of bad coding.

Apologies that it may lack tact, but at this point what other choices are there?

Either wait patiently, or unsub and either come back later or put it behind you. When you rip away all the heated frustrations and constant forum shouting that's been going on, those are the two choices people have. There's no mystical finger snap here that makes everything better for everyone.

The queues will come down. It's a matter of patience. Either wait for that to happen, or don't. No amount of this constant forum warring is going to change that.

Except you didn't have 6 months notice that you were going to stub your toe on that chair.

Everyone knew this situation was going to happen. Defending or attacking the developers is neither here nor there at this point. The situation is what it is. You can choose to either believe what they were saying for over six months about the launch difficulties they would face, or choose to believe that they didn't care. It doesn't change what we're experiencing right now.

They fully plan on upgrading servers when they are able to. They currently cannot. So feedback about the struggles of this launch is going to be entirely moot, when the servers do eventually get upgraded, which is going to take awhile. Again, choose to believe it or not.

Every single one of us has the choice of what to do here. You vote with your wallet. Either stay subbed and be patient, or unsub. If you truly want a company to change, a company that offers a product, then voting with your wallet is how you do it.

Not well, because my friends who I play this game for are in queue as well. And having to wake up 3 am just to enjoy the game has not been fun.

Honestly there is not much SE CAN do at this point. They tried to fix it this week and it did not work. Additional servers are not going to miraculously rain down from the heavens and would take time to configure and implement if they did. I am sure there are people trying to solve the error issues but so far not succeeding. A miracle could happen and a janitor might suddenly have a brain fart that solves the error issues but that is pretty unlikely to happen. We just have to have faith they are doing what they can.

The situation is not going to get better until either servers become available or the number of people trying to log in goes down. Time will cure both.

We the players can decide what we individually will do about the situation. We can wait patiently. We can rearrange our schedules to play at off peak. We can take a hiatus from the game until things settle down. We can sit on the forums and complain (but that does not one whit of good to solve the problem).

I have chosen to be patient and in the meantime rearrange my schedule as much as possible. Means I don't get to play much during the work week but at least I get to play some.

The amount of defense and pandering the players do for this company really is crazy. All logical thoughts get thrown out the window.

I don't think people are really defending SE that much. I think people are just tired of the subject. Everyone was warned about this months a head of launch that they were not able to obtain servers and it was going to be bad.

Sure everyone can vent but its been over a week now of venting. Nothing can be done in the immediate future so you have a couple options.

1. Wait in the queue.
2. Try to log in during non-peak hours. All yall that complain you work 9-5. I work 7:30 - 7:30 so shut up.
3. If you are unable to do 1 or 2 unsubscribe and save your money until they get new servers.

Sure those choices sucks but lifes full of choices and your never guaranteed good choices. Sorry you couldn't have it your way but this ain't Burger King.

I have no doubt they have people trying to solve the issue. They tried to solve it earlier this week and failed. That tells me that either it is not a problem that can be tackled easily or there is some hardware limitation making it impossible to fully fix.

This is not a good situation for them as I am certain they are very aware. Almost snatching defeat from the jaws of success if you will. SE probably wants this fixed as much as we all do.

I agree the errors are the real problem. Most of us will wait in a queue if we are not constantly kicked to the back of the line. The reports I am hearing of people being dumped out of instances and other things while in game are perhaps more troubling as that seems to only have started post maintenance. Sounds like the fix broke something else.

SO now we have SE trying to fix the fix. Not a good look.

Exactly. Everything that can be said on the subject has been said ad nauseum at this point. Everyone, including the developers I am betting, get it.

You're left with those options. Be patient, and wait, or save your money and unsub until it gets better. Or just quit entirely, if the entire situation has soured the game too much for you.

I fully understand that to many this sounds harsh and unsympathetic, but there is literally nothing else to be done at this point. I saved up time at work to took PTO for the two weeks of the EW launch because I knew this situation was going to plummet, and I log in during non-peak hours and get my playtime in then. You either make the best of a bad situation, or remove yourself from the situation. Sometimes that is life.

And beyond anything, vote with your wallet. 14 is a commercial product. Square is a publicly traded company. If anyone is so dissatisfied with this current situation, then use your consumer power and vote that way.
