Emet listed like 6 things we are completely clueless about that each could be there own expansions ESPECIALLY including the other world stuff. Did people forget their is a literal world of void and cosmic horror that has been chilling there since ARR.

No Hydaelyn or Aether shield from Zodiark and I can tell you who is coming for dinner very soon. All that is going on now is the story is not about chasing Ascians or rejoinings anymore. It gives them far more freedom to not get caught in a repetitive pattern.

Rift another MMO got caught in a very predictable pattern where the expansions looked amazing but it was insanely predictable.

Yeah, they *strongly suggested* that it will be future content at the end of the Shadowbringers role quests too.

There's so much for this world to be explored that after Endwalker I'm more excited for the future than I was before. All the things that Emet spoke about, and so much more. I also really liked what he said about The Twelve, gave a tiny bit more insight on what the alliance raid is going to be about.

What I want to know is why is the 12 based in the past. That sure as hell implies the 12 predates the Amaurotans and Emet knew about them.

I think it might be simpler than that, since he's been around basically forever anyway. But obviously I don't know either lol

Dunno, but I feel that we got some sort of "reset" after the ending...

We are no longer the WoL in the technical sense... No more Blessing of Light, and I'm even curious if the Echo is still a thing. Heck, even the final credits have your character's name listed as the Warrior of Light, suggests that is a role that you just finished playing. I don't think there's a significant power trip in Endwalker. Or at least not one that is highly disproportional to the threats we faced ever since HW.

My only remark is that you're probably the most famous person in the world, which might conspire against "fresh starts". I'd say it's unrealistic to think that the other zones in the planet are completely oblivious to EW's events.

However, like Emet-Selch suggested, there are other shards... And you can literally start from zero there. They can weave a new story that can span from 3 or 4 expansions, like the one we had ever since ARR, and the fact that none of the Scions can actually travel at will between them suggests that there's room for new characters, and at that, I completely trust XIV's writing team to create strong new characters.

And even at the prospect of an entire new saga taking place on another shard, the unexplored places of the First can also serve pretty much for the other 3 story "hubs" that go with the MSQ, that are the 8-man raids, 24-man raids and the .X trials stories, not even mentioning other side things like Eureka/Bozja.

Honestly. I really don't mind, shifting down 2 or even 3 gears now.
Since this thread was rendered spoiler open, i can safely say Endwalker 6.0 has tugged at my heart multiple times and i will never forget the stakes we've encountered here.

The mentality our WoL has, is really something. Despite what the world throws at them, they continue, unabated, unshaken.


Walk on, forge ahead, never look back.
For those we have lost, for those we can yet save!

Can't wait to see what happens now in 6.1
