Liberty means you do not get to aggress against the rights of others. One of those rights being life. It's called a paradox where both sides of the argument regarding this topic have valid arguments. Which is why it is such a difficult, and often passionate, discussion. One in which you do not have the skills to engage in because you're coming from the position that only your argument can be correct. That anyone whom doesn't bow down to your worldview is incorrect. Furthermore, most libertarians don't participate in party politics.

Some people believe such laws serve to protect the liberties of others from aggressors . Your perspective is only one of them. And yes, I am use to being the smartest person in the room, and hated for it. Libertarians excel in that regard.
