SE.. You have tailed races, you know?

I have had it with all these caped sets this expansion! Unbelievable. I already have a prior quote explaining:

I don't think I will ever understand how they do quality control over at SE. They preview reaper with an Au Ra - a tailed race - and their job gear, which looks fairly decent.. has a cape. So, their tail just clips through it. Like, what? For that matter, a few other job sets have capes, now I doubt I will use many of these, but do they realize they have tailed races in their game? Like, this is beyond au ra horn clipping, because their most popular race, as far as I can tell, is/was miqo'te.. another tailed race. I'd hazard a guess, and say most people who are actively playing this game are playing a tailed race, and if not most, quite a large amount. This is ridiculous, like, at least, couldn't they do something for tailed races when it's iconic job gear?

Now that I have finished the story, I previewed the tomestone gear, only to find the majority of them have a cape: meaning horrendous clipping. SE, as far as I am aware, your most popular races.. have tails. I'm sick of everything clipping, I can overlook it with most gear, and it's understandable even, I try to glamour around it, but when everything has a cape, it gets a bit difficult, and stifles many glamour options. I haven't even previewed most of the dungeon sets, aside from the recolors, but I wouldn't doubt there is even more clipping. Going forward, I hope to see less capes, if you aren't going to accommodate your tailed races.

Anyway, I already had the conversation that, no doubt, may be featured in this thread. I don't make threads often, but this is an annoyance. Also, I don't care if they are throwbacks to a prior FF game (that I've never played), the clipping is ridiculous, and even several of the iconic job sets - which I assume aren't throwbacks - have capes. Cutting off the tail isn't a solution, in my opinion, either.

I think they look horrific. Completely ruins sets, and I don't want to fantasia off of a tailed race either, before someone brings that up. I seriously doubt they would do something about it, it'd be great, but I don't think so. They just need to do less capes, for starters.

You could phantasia into an Elezen. And all your problems with tails will go away.

That’s the trade-off of playing a tailed race. You have an expressive and customizable tail, I look good in capes.

Capes and cloaks aren't necessarily an issue for tails. What causes an issue is if the cape is hanging away from us.

As seen with these pictures, the first one looks awkward because it's a cape that hangs over the armour, while the other has it sitting a lot closer and more form fitting.

Because tailed people deserve capes too, duh. I don't wanna walk around and have my tail hidden, it deserves to see the sunshine too.

Side note: if we can put tail holes in pants, why not capes?
