Imho, you dont deserve to be here, with milions of ppl with the same problem waiting to play. But, guess what? Jerks like you are so lucky to play XIV becouse right now, far from here SE is doing its best to find a solution to let YOU and others to log in.

It´s their work to find a solution, they get paid for that... by us. And if they don´t find one, ppl will drop the game and in the worst case want their money back.
So it´s up to them, to work on it or to ignore it, isn´t it? I know what i would doing. And i´m sure they´re able to sleep. It´s called shift work.

Happens to everyone randomly either caused by the login servers themselves or by a package loss caused by your provider. You just can login again and hope your place in the queue stays the same.

I know it's frustrating. have your spouse or roommate log you in an hour before you get off of work if you have that option. That way the queue will almost be done by the time you get home.

Otherwise, please understand there is a WORLD WIDE shortage of semiconductors, which means that they aren't able to purchase enough servers to really handle this many people playing. They weren't expecting hundreds of thousands of players from WoW (Maybe even millions.) - and no one could have predicted that, nor prepared for it in time for launch. The queues will calm down: They're already starting to.

This time two days ago the queue would have been over 2,000. It's only 450 for me now. That's a vast improvement.

I don't tend to like this excuse because they have had issues with servers since ARR launched and every expansion since has had some kind of server issue. Right now we are experiencing it because of the influx of players but they have had literal YEARS prior to the pandemic to make changes. The thing is, not a single developer out there wants to put the amount of time and money required to build a proper long-term sustainable infrastructure regarding their servers. This kind of investment would have a major impact to the profit margin of an organization in that single year and no company wants to tell their shareholders they did not meet their profit goals because of this investment. So we get a "just enough" and "if necessary" process of upgrades and then lame excuses as to why we are experiencing problems. No, the reason we are experiencing it isn't because of "unpredictable numbers of players attempting to login" and the lack of investment in the server structure. And to be fair, SE has been bad about servers from the beginning and this isn't an unforeseen issue they make it out to be nor is it a lack of materials available. While there is a lack of material, it's there inability to act before that made the lack of materials an issue. 7 days of play time, at the moment, will likely suffice for most the player base but it's paltry when considering how they could have proactively prevented this from happening. Still, the ONLY issues i've experienced is server and connection related which is a testament because no other MMO has gone without massive bugs in game play as well.

I don't give a DAMN about artificial chip shortages because these problems should have been fixed before they became problems. Square/Enix and the entire workteam for this game has at at LEAST since Stormblood to know they have some serious issues both server, game, AND infrastructure-wise. There has been plenty of time to think ahead and make sure they were ready for this games future.

But I suppose reading is hard and it’s easier to clone the same thread 150 times a day about a topic the dev team is well aware of and working hard to fix and keeping players updated.

Yeah transparent. Having server issues for ages now on their side and saying "Sorry it's your internet." Square is a big company they don't need you white knighting for them they can fight for themselves friend.
