When has 'fair' ever been a valid or reasonable business practice? It's all about deals being struck and money being moved. No matter how emotionally attached to a product you may get, never forget profit always comes first.

Yes, absolutely fine.I'm speaking mostly about those who don't live in the US or have access to Grubhub.
Why in the hell is Square still doing this terrible promotions that only a certain few can ever get, even in the rules the amount of codes for the pizza emote is limited and considering how unique the emote is, feels very unfair for those who already have it hard to even play the game.
I understand that Square also wants to make money, that's why the store exists and still people understand that the game itself is good, the store items are mostly cosmetic, some of them could been obtained in previous events easily or if you're really interested you can wait and buy them later, but with these promotions is not only very predatory as the fees for delivery plus tip before taxes can reach a high amount but again, only a certain few can even try to get them, it's so bad for a company and a team that seems to focus so much on making their players happy.
This is mostly a rant but also a question to those who read this, are you fine with these kinds of promotions? like the old black chocobo and the maid dress, or even more recently the butterfinger mount? What are you thoughts about this?
I got the maid outfit essentially for free while buying a game time card off Amazon.
I got the black chocobo for free buying a game I had been wanting for a while.
And soon, I will essentially be getting a pizza emote for free when I order food.
I missed out on the Flying Nimbus mount, but at the end of the day I don't even really think about it or miss it.
I have trouble understanding how missing out on a pizza emote is such a big deal.
Because if I wanna do those same things then I simply won't get those items, simply because I live far enough to reach here and there's no other way to get themYes, absolutely fine.

It's not just about the pizza emote, it's about these kinds of promotions that are region locked or w/e and Square doesn't offer an alternative for the regions that can't get them. If I have to pay also 15 dollars for the pizza emote alone I would do it but there's no official way to do so, might as well take my chance and buy some gil for a reseller while finding how to get the emote.

The promotion is all kinds of unfair. I don't care if it's because GrubHub is sponsoring the Game Awards. As someone who lives in NA(Canada) I cannot use Grubhub here. It's just like the Butterfingers promotion. A friend of mine in Quebec had her receipt for the Butterfingers refused because it was in French.
I am ok with these kind of promotions, but I wished the butterfinger one was submitting a code instead of a pic, it's hard to get a good pic but a code from the candy wrapper would have been way easier to do.
I had no clue the GrubHub promotion was going on though, a pizza emote would be awesome but sadly I don't have access to GrubHub cause I live in a rural area in the woods.
Plus anyone know how I can get that fist bump emote? , always wanted it but no clue how to get it.
Pizza has too many carbs anyways.
(Translation: I live in Canada and like this and other promotions, this doesn't apply to me)

You only need to recruit 1 friend for the fist bump emote.![]()
