    Let's assess this logically.

I understand the frustration. Heck, I waited 5 hours in a queue yesterday, receiving error 2002 5 times throughout that, in which I had to be sitting at my PC the entire time. I understand some of you took time off for this, and were excited to finally experience Endwalker.

Can we not act like adults? Do you honestly think SE would cut into their own profits if they could help it? What makes you think them not preparing more servers was a voluntarily decision on their part, knowing it would adversely affect their profits in the long run?

I have read here and there about the steady growth they have been experiencing for some time, and thus should have been prepared. If this were simply caused by that alone, the argument would have merit. But tell me seriously, how could anyone have expected SE to predict the numerous chain of events that unfolded to cause this massive influx?

Did you predict that a certain game was going to suddenly experience a mass exodus? Did you predict that the biggest MMO streamer was going to try this game, a game he insulted numerous times in the past and no one ever thought he would play? Did you predict a plethora of big streamers would follow him here in his wake, and thus a cascade of players from 'that game' would migrate here, vastly increasing the player size? Prediction and clairvoyance would have been required to escape this, and there is now no way to procure servers thanks to COVID. Whatever you may believe, this is a valid reason, and the dev team has been quite transparent in their communication on this issue. Those who keep screeching that SE should have seen this coming or should just get more servers are willingly digging your heads in the sand.

Additionally, they are offering compensation to those affected. What more do you want them to do? Do you think Yoshi-P and team does not care about the success of their game, given how you've seen them behave in the past?

I will admit that the 2002 and 3001 errors may be fixable, and I have faith that SE is working diligently on that front. Their past workflow on this game has given me no other impression but that they want this game to succeed to its utmost capacity. So you are telling me they would willingly bottleneck their own growth? If so, why?

Before you call me a white knight, I do have issues with this game and if you check my threads in the past you will see I have criticized SE, but this, this is just unreasonable and completely illogical.

It is never unreasonable or illogical to voice a concern or complaint. To tell others not to do so is unreasonable.

I think they care only about Japan, rest of world is only extra cash for them. NA and EU paying? Good. Not paying? What a pity, but who cares?

I believe my position is logical. I understand this is unavoidable (given semiconductor shortages) and there was little to mitigate them. What I ask is simply:

    1) They acknowledge 2002 errors are a problem on their side and that they are all-hands-on-deck attempting to mitigate and solve the problem. Also extending the queue 'grace period' to account for situations where you cannot get reconnected to the data center would be appropriate.
    2) I would like the compensation to actually 'make me whole' in some way by providing an in-game benefit. This could be in the form of bonus experience, or some other intangible that doesn't affect the end state of the game after the issue is resolved. Simply giving me extra sub time, which I already can't use, does nothing to compensate me whatsoever. Plus, realistically, 7 days of time on the worst possible option equates to like.. $3.50. It's not really adequate even if one considers it from a monetary perspective.

    That's all really.

Not even if the complaint itself is unreasonable? Asking them to just get more servers when it is literally impossible is not unreasonable?

You honestly think that after they gave a media tour to a bunch of NA streamers, and launched NA advertisements? Moreover, you believe a business does not care about what could increase their profits?

    1. True, I can't disagree with you here. Assuming they're not working on this though when it affects their growth may be incorrect. I don't imagine this is a problem that they could just ignore. Either way, I can't comment because you are correct in that they haven't released a statement declaring as such.
    2. I'd have to disagree here, as EA was not any additional payment. They're refunding the sub time that was lost(and possibly more) to players. Given the amount of players subbed, this already gives a hit to their profits.

Just got done saying this in another thread but I will post it here as well:
This is really nothing new tbh. If you've played any mobile games based outside of the US (specifically China, Japan, etc.), you'll know that the favoritism runs deep. Their home country/region always gets preferential treatment compared to the NA side of things (ironically making up usually close to half of their overall profits, but oh well).

Yes I think like that, easy proof, 6 time bigger EU have almost 3 time less servers.

So you think they have such a disdain or indifference for EU that they would cut into their own profits, as a business-minded large corporation, to snub EU to make them suffer? There really is nothing more I can say against that then.

It was a benefit I was deprived of. And I value sub time over the last few days at easily a 50:1 ratio to game time in 30 days. Truth be told, I don't value free subscription time with any value whatsoever, my sub is yet another meaningless recurring charge that hits my card every 6 months whether I'm playing or not, that charge coming 7 days later means nothing whatsoever to me. Additionally, what I desire for compensation objectively costs them absolutely nothing whatsoever, however I value it far more than what does cost them money. Food for thought.

So how do you explain this difference? They are cutting their profits purposely or what?
