Should i idle afk in the morning to be able to play in the evening???

To be honest i don't even need to ask because i know how this kind of stuff works and if i would actively using it i woudn't even bother making a topic here. Im more interested in what other people think about this situation than the act itself.

Just check the last 10 pages of topics. Honest people that stick by the ToS are upset that they cannot play the game at all. Forum whiteknights say everything is fine and that this has been the greetest launch evah because they used exploits and 3rd party program to stay logged in. Honest people are upset SE is not doing anything to allow them to play the game nor punishing the whiteknight cheaters.

Before someone asks, yes i know how that sounds.

Its 19:15 here and i got back from work 5 minutes ago. Im leaving the house around 8:30 and i have no possibility to log into the game until im back. My que number is 7400 right now and judging from the experience at weekend i guess it will be around 3h before i can log in.

If i start the game in the morning i can log in nearly instant like usual before the expansion. (Im playing on Ragnarok/Chaos EU Server)

So when im finaly able to play i only have about 30 min left before i need to log off and get ready for the next day. You could also say SE punishes the people with work and a regular life, because all unemployment and people with holydays dont need to care about these issues. All they need to do is login in with their char in the morning (when there is nearly no que) and they are fine. Of course they shouldnt be afk for to long or switch the char but aside from that they have no issues at all with this launch.

I think if you can find a way to do it, then do it. If you were seeking some approval like someone to tell you it's OK then I'll tell you straight up It's OK. I don't have a problem with players who want to "AFK Dance" or "Idle" in FFXIV all day even with the current Queue problems in Queuewalker.

You pay your subscription, you get access to the FFXIV server world, venue and services, you paid your rent DONE.

SquareEnix is obligated to provide you and me access to the FFXIV server world, venue and services that we paid for, it's not on you to make room for other players, it's on SquareEnix to provide enough room for all the customers.

Update!: I was a minute ago at que number 3800. Than i got the usual 2002 kick after an hour or so tried to log back in like at weekend where atleast this worked and i could keep my number. Now i got a connection error or something (had to restart the game again once more) and abra kadabra my number went back to 6800.

I guess its better to not write what i think right now.

Or maybe there are those of us who abide the TOS and while it's frustrating to deal with the queue issues, realize that this will pass with time and the MSQ is not going anywhere soon and are being understanding while time is given for solutions to be found and implemented before blowing a gasket over it.

I do feel bad for those who haven't gotten in during their available times. It's why I played this morning and then logged off. Didn't want to keep someone else from playing as the longer you're on queue the more chance of the 2002 error happening.

What I did today knowing I'm getting off during prime time is get up an hour earlier and played for an hour.

I got into game right away. I'll have some issues with trials since I can't use trusts for those, but I'll figure something out if I can't get in during the evening. Even if it is holding MSQ progress to the weekend.

I can level up my trusts or work on aether currents, etc.

I would take a bet that there are still plenty of people queuing at all hours. I can't see you not getting your trials done.

Reshade is also against ToS, but you don't see people complaining about that.

You can justify botting however you want. The fact remains its against TOS, and if you're afk aside from a small movement every 20 minutes or so, you're going to stick out like a beacon and beg for a GM coming down on you.

Yep if they are suspected of botting, or afk play, GM will send them a afk check tell and if they do not respond.......

Reshade is also against ToS, but you don't see people complaining about that.

Reshade doesn't have a negative impact on others' ability to play the game.
