The real world only makes sense once you realize it's an MMORPG.
I'm fairly certain it's a glitch, but I saw someone who had a cutscene marker near an aetheryte with a clearly labeled Ifrit Egi next to them but they also kinda vanished later too so it may have been a glitch.
You can glamor carby as ifrit-egi, at least according to the new command reference.
Code:ALIASES: /petglamour, /egiglamour USAGE: /petglamour [summon] [appearance] →Alter the appearance of select summons. You must resummon the egi for the glamour to take effect. Command not applicable in PvP instances. >>Summon Name: Carbuncle Garuda-Egi Titan-Egi Ifrit-Egi >>Glamour: Carbuncle Emerald Carbuncle Topaz Carbuncle Ruby Carbuncle Garuda-Egi Titan-Egi Ifrit-Egi The glamour will be removed when no glamour is specified. >>Example: /petglamour "Garuda-Egi" "Ruby Carbuncle" (Garuda-Egi will appear glamoured as Ruby Carbuncle.)
Yeah, it is in the patch notes for the early access with new listed commands to include the new Carbuncle. No mistakes were made.
