Theyve had since Stormblood in 2017 to upgrade servers after that show -- then a lot of server issues during Shadowbringers on release in 2019. Can we stop using the Covid/Shortage excuse for SE being cheap and not getting servers when they had plenty of signs that they needed new servers for now 5 years?

Population boom didn't happen until June 2021.

Stormblood's issues were a game design problem - the instanced trial was too early in the MSQ, and everyone hit it at once. They learned from that mistake and MSQ now has two branching paths to occupy people, neither of which has a solo instance in it. Having gotten through level 84 content now, I have not had a single time I haven't been able to move to an instance or duty. Believe it or not, different error messages often have entirely different causes.

And? Stormbloood had massive server issues -- that was the wakeup moment. SE didnt wake up and now has to eat crow because of the population boom. Shadowbringers also had server issues on its launch.

People literally need to stop defending this company for its lack of proaction. There is no more excuses for SE at a corporate level decision making. You dont need to have a degree in technical engineering to know that the server may need to be updated if they literally shit out over 17,000 players logging in for a game with suspected 2-3 million players.
