Your characters do look marvellous I'm sure. but there's no way you guys are actually okay with these limited hairstyles forever? For the time being, you're probably content with what you have but trust me after 2+ years it gets a bit... dull.

It's unfortunate for newer players, but many of us have had that hairstyle for years since they ran the event and its multiple repeats and we got it for "free".

Or because people had been locked out of using a hairstyle they earned (or bought) years ago, shocking right?

It's annoying if you only happen to like that single hairstyle, but not everything is about new players and not everything is a conspiracy.

Then why was it the only one that it looks like they actually put effort into? With the other 5 range from "meh" at best to outright awful. The 2B is the definition of phoning it in, you can still see the "hidden" hairband. The 9S one... lord.. it looks like someone put novelty bunny ears on the end of a pencil eraser it is painful to look at. The "karen" one is just a minor tweak from 3 other similar hairstyles. The ponytail gives truly Kurtwood Smith level of forehead (look it up, not exaggerating). And Controlled Chaos... I don't care for it but it's not awful. So at best that 2 out of 6?

Beyond unlocking every single one what should they have done then? Start unlocking the in-game ones despite people practically begging for them to start with the Mogstation hairstyles because a lot of people owned those already and were (and for most hairstyles still are) suddenly locked out of their purchase/achievement reward for 2+ years?

For the record, I hate that it's only 6 of them and I'm not a huge fan of any of them as there are a lot of others I would've preferred to see instead, but they had to start somewhere and 1 out of 6 being an old event one that's now on the Mogstation isn't some huge slap in the face or an attempt to fleece new players.

Controlled Chaos is the Karen hairstyle btw so not sure which other one you're talking about.

AFAIK the "Karen" one was the baseline one that everyone gets. Regardless, as I noted previously in the thread, the fact that these are so underwhelming leads me to believe there will be no more coming period or at best not until 7.0. If they can only give 1-2 new hairstyles that actually look decent after 2 years of time, then whatever limitations are present are so severe as they are likely just washing their hands of it.

Controlled Chaos is the Karen hair, the baseline ones are generally referred to as 'legacy hairstyles'.

I wouldn't hold my breath on a steady stream of hairstyle releases either, but since they decided to unlock some it was inevitable there would be a paid one in the mix as that's what people actually asked for.

Now I don't remember anyone particularly frothing at the mouth for it to be the FF13 ones, but I imagine they chose that one as it has a male equivalent so it balanced out evenly.
