except every other day its a new issue with new world, dont think id want that.
You do know that Amazon itself has a glut of servers as they are one of the largest server providers in the world. If they had server issues with new world, half the internet would have been fucked.
And if Sony wanted enough PS5s for everyone who wanted to own one they could get them but they very clearly can't. Square is competing against other hardware manufacturers. They're competing against other companies that need server infrastructure. They're competing against CAR MANUFACTURERS. Get out of here with this backwards "But they can afford it" nonsense because no amount of money thrown at a server manufacturer can make port employees magically appear. Many ships, which these things are freighted on, have been stuck outside of their destination ports for MONTHS because of a lack of dock workers from both strikes for better treatment and pay and due to covid making people unable to work.
Amazon? You mean the company that owns the most powerful server architecture in the entire world? That Amazon?
Are you trying to say Square Enix should have as many servers readily available as Amazon?
Bruh.
The menacing aura of every Lalafell.
Yes we did and successfully too I might add and I'm going to enjoy a very good Xmas.
The company I work for Designs and Builds Large Multi Residential Apartments and Commercial Buildings we procured additional Servers, Routing Equipment, some intended for VPN Servers to serve large numbers of Remote Workers working at same time from home... Last year, THIS year, Last MONTH, NO Problems.
But see, we're just a Multi-Million Dollar company so we could afford it, not like Poor Disadvantaged Multi-Billion Dollar SquareEnix with a Highly Successful Profitable FFXIV Franchise.
So, how many PS5 systems have you purchased at Manufacturer's Price in the year it's been out?I agree. With the influx of new players from the continuing WoW exodus especially, SE should have been more than prepared for increased volume already. This launch should have been smooth. COVID, chip shortages, supply issues, whatever excuse they use, it's unacceptable that the queues are this high, especially for subscription players.
I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing people coming out of the woodworks to defend SE on something like this, when I said "Poor Disadvantaged Multi-Billion Dollar SquareEnix" I meant it with a silent /s but damn, some people take it (and the convenient excuses SE & corporates make) seriously.
Funny, I'm still waiting on a computer order from 6 months ago that we paid extra for in order to skip the line. No single purchase outside of a on off from amazon has anything computer related not been a 6 month wait at work since covid started.Yes we did and successfully too I might add and I'm going to enjoy a very good Xmas.
