2004. MMOs were an old genre then, too.
Fact of the matter is, they had the same problem SE has. Not enough hardware. Difference is, wow could get the hardware. SE cannot.
So we need to wait for it to calm down. Even if I did spend over 4 hours in queue today because EU is overcrowded.
That is the outright lie.

YepThat is the outright lie.
https://screenrant.com/blizzard-fix-...wlands-launch/Blizzard pushing out a release without issues? What is this 2010? Everything Blizzard releases has major problems these days
They should had pulled the handbrake already when WoW players started migrating to FFXIV.
I have an analogy for this:
Imagine a high way, a few years back it only had a few lanes so only a few people could get through at a time, but less people lives in the area who had to use the high way. Over time more people move there, the high way got a few more lanes, but there waaaaaaay more people who use the high way then there are lanes now.
You can only fit so many people into each of those lanes at a time, else you'll have accidents and congestion, you have to go through slowly a few at a time. Now imagine if one day a big event happened and everyone just used the lanes all at once. You'll have crashes and accidents and now delays, and now people can't get through, stuffs on fire, you get the idea.
The main issue you're all facing is over several million people trying to squeeze all their data through a very narrow highway and a few crashes happened and stuff got delayed, which means. We're all kinda causing this to happen. In the few rare cases of people just crashing and what not, thats just the ssad reality of MMO launches period. But everything else is really on everyone trying to log in all at once.
pretty reasonable to expect this on launch. and honestly it's not even that bad, just a mild inconvenience.I was like, this company is good at learning from mistakes It knows it does not have enough servers so they going to add systems that help people go back in queue if they get dc while waiting. After all 2000+ queue they knew was going to happen. They will be ready right.
My husband laughed at me, and now I want to punch him. 2000+ queue get low dc now 2900 again. Oh error, now 4600 in queue. Was 800 away.
Really hard to defend this, they knew it was going to happen. So why can't we hold our queue spot for a few after a dc?
We really should've discouraged the WoW-fugee thing.
