But also because I enjoy learning the muscle memory and rhythm of different boss fights, and proc jobs march to the erratic beats of their own drums.

I can agree that in at least White Mage's case, yes the robes do look more feminine but honestly that's really the only class that has that aesthetic on it's Class Sets. But there are also so many ways to just Glamour Plate over it with better looking sets imo that it doesn't really feel like an issue at all to me.

As far as your claim the 'status quo' is trying to silence you I don't really know about that, I certainty aren't trying to do that. It's just a preference after all.

For me, it'd be ranged dps. I enjoy just about every other role, predominantly casters and some melee dps (SAM, DRG), followed by healers and then tanks (although probably not enough to play them if I were to do stuff like savage content as I prefer dps for that), but I've never found myself able to get into ranged dps. MCH is probably the one that bothers me least.
