Eeww i hadn't even looked for this cause I'd assumed they wouldn't turn us all into hyurs like that.

Here's hoping its a bug and they didn't just purposely disregard the major features of our chosen races.

(PS, stop making hats eat my ears. Ear socks, ear holes, or make a /tuck emote for those who don't like them. I rolled a cat girl to have kitty ears and a tail dammit!)

They specifically stated they'd be trying to maintain racial identity during Lemure Shroud, so I can only hope what was seen at the media tour was still not finalized, otherwise I'd much prefer the ability to just disable the appearance change via a /command.

Given how most helms in Shadowbringers made my ears vanish I'm not really surprised... but still disappointed. Can the gear design team go back and fix these issues? Even if it's just adding holes for my ears to come out of it would be amazing.

Count me in for this. Being forced to look like that has been nothing but a turn off for me. Being able to opt out of it would be a huge boon.

It makes sense, it's a combination of the reaper and you. Your face and the reapers body.
The reaper has no horns, tail or ears:


Obviously they took the easier way when creating the look, taking all racial features into consideration when changing into the avatar form would require way more work and the form would have to be adapted for every possible new future race. However, in the end it still makes sense when you think about it in the way I mentioned above.
