why would we give input and opinions when you say SE shouldn't take them into consideration

There is a different between giving input/feedback and crying/demanding changes. They should take input/feedback and think about it, but not just implement it because the community said so. The community only sees the "now" while the developers can see the "future". Community is selfish, while the developers act for the greater good of things.

It is really no rocket science.

What if everyone who wants to switch servers just switched to Ragnarok temporarily. I mean, lets say 20 people wanna switch from gugnir to balmung, and 20 people wanna switch from balmung to gugnir. They can't do this because they are each taking up that space. But, switching to Ragnarok would free up that space in each world. Just a thought though...I dunno how well it would work and it's kind of impossible to truly coordinate.

inactives have nothing to do with anything, if we had option 1 the inactives would still be on the servers and would still be inactive.

If we would have gone with the original planning SE had this would not have happened! If we did it their way all inactive players would have been randomly placed on server AFTER every single active player picked a server.

He means that my point 3, was the original plan of SE (option 4). Community made SE change to option 2+4 combination and now people are whining because they did not think about the end result of it, exactly like you stated.

im happy with the merger, im not complaining. If se can make it work to get more people on the servers they want great, if not, oh well, im right were i wanna be. I do feel bad for all the people that wanted to come to gungnir knowing it was the best server, it sucks they have to settle for less awesome servers.
