I had heard something about the Doze Emote long time ago now that I'm recalling, seems like it was before my time in FFXIV.

I don't think regular players should miss out on something just because it might be abused by a portion of the player base.

me either, but that is the story I got told. It's sad because SE has to basically baby sit the population of the game, and maintain a 'decent' image for those who may be interested at the same time. Kind of a messed up situation.

That's kind of what laws are tho. Speed limits, public indecency, etc.

yup, sadly tis why slow mo for gpose got quietly dropped until yoshida was asked

which is pointless- there's 3rd party posing tools already for the erp "players" if they want an nsfw pose

But then they monetized a similar emote with /playdead and people put on displays in town with that all the time.

There was never an option to use it anywhere.
It's just a reason it hasn't been allowed to be anywhere.

Not that this stops people with /playdead and other emotes though.

Good to know. I was just saying what I got told at one time about it. I was(still am) in an all lala linkshell and we were chatting in Mor Dhona and I think one asked why they couldn't sleep on a bench.. conversation got bizarro pretty fast.

That's a hoax I think, I've been around since the launch of ARR and I don't remember there ever being a sleep emote.
Using this logic one would have to remove half the emotes which can be abused this way.

Anyway, we need a normal sleep emote!
