Definitely not an echo chamber but definitely leaning towards one direction over another, regardless if they're the ones who will actually drop the cash on female Hrothgar or not. As someone who wants to actually spend the money as opposed to wanting them to be a certain way for the sake of "having so much diversity in the world! but not using fantasia!" I want something that looks good and has a body that works well with the equipment we have in game. Not femroe 2.0, and certainly nothing larger than that.
A version of the Misija body with a decent looking head is something I'm willing to buy a fantasia for. The Viera base would work well too, but with a different stance. Repeating design mistakes that people steer away from doesn't do much to convince me that resources should go to such a thing at all. If the options are "female Tauren but ffxiv" or stickers, I'm probably choosing the stickers.
However, making something that is *good* with characteristics that people generally like on female characters will actually see them populate the world as opposed to just being NPCs tucked away in random corners. I do not want them spending resources on making a setpiece we will barely see, I want them to make something that will sell, to me, and others. Even some of the most enthusiastic defenders of "beastial" female Hrothgar will still play them if they lean towards more traditional standards of beauty. Just like some of the people who really pushed for all sorts of different kinds of bunny boys ended up being quite happy with how they turned out-because they made something that appealed to a wide breadth of people as opposed to a niche crowd.

Man, if you wanna challenge a demographic on how much money they're willing to spend on their pixels, the furry community is NOT the one you wanna do that with.Definitely not an echo chamber but definitely leaning towards one direction over another, regardless if they're the ones who will actually drop the cash on female Hrothgar or not. ~sigh~

I say, in regard to female Hrothgar, it should be a slightly toned down roe female base with a cat head & no hair options. Afterall, those depicted in the murals had no hair & lions irl have none compared to male lions just as what we have seen depicted in game as of this post, the same can be said for Ronso as well, as no Ronso female in FFX had long hair. Furthermore, it would defiantly be a unique take on a female aesthetic to go without hair options.
Official art
Not official art, but what i expect most thinking of.
Of course, i readily admit that i doubt something this extreme will ever get serious consideration. SE has way to much incentive to lock the readily willing fantasia addicts out of their desire to have to spend actual money to change just to one of the other four hair options available to Hrothgar.

Yeah, it may not a true Echo Chamber so much as just a handful of people pushing for something that most of this forum don't care enough about to even discuss.Definitely not an echo chamber but definitely leaning towards one direction over another, regardless if they're the ones who will actually drop the cash on female Hrothgar or not. Like, there are some hard-to-swallow pills that these people don't acknowledge ...
1- The devs aint making a woman as-big-or-bigger than Femroe. Not only are Roe supposed to be "the largest, most rugged" race, but anyone whose paying attention can tell how SE treats Femroe. The fact that THIS is what Misija turns into tells you they aint making that mistake again, they know exactly why Femroe are so rare.
2- The devs done told us what to expect. Regardless of how much people wanna B&M about it, no one can explain away why the devs put a canon lore mural depiction in the game like that, well after they decided to make MV and Hrothgals. They've done stuff like this before ... Yugiri was in the game well before Femra were revealed, and I'm sure no one thought when she tossed off her hood she would grow 2ft and get gains.
3- Even if we don't have to worry about SE's time and effort, SE definite does. People who play male characters are always more willing to play strange-looking stuff, so they could take a risk on the dudes, but looking at the race/ gender data in this game makes it clear to me why they would want to make Hrothgals look like Mithra X Viera. A new race is gonna eat away at something else in this game, makes way more sense to eat away at Miqote females than Femroe.
I've made it clear that I'd love for them to look like conventionally attractive furries, but I see the logic in giving them humanized faces and I'm cool with it. To me, alot of people enjoying something is a net positive so the more popular a race the better. I may have been upset for a lil when Femra weren't "scalie, horned Femroe" but when I saw the number of people enjoying them it trumped any misgivings I coulda had back then.
In order to make money off of furries with Hrothgals you'd have to give them what furries like from females ... and that aint jacked women who are hunched over like dizzy meth goblins.
That's kinda the thing ... furry fandom is rooted in appealing animation designs for anthro cartoons, no mmo caters to this fandom annnnnd these mmo beast races stay unpopular as they go for "feral/ monster" over what furries like.
Compare a Cow girl in WoW to a Cow girl furry and tell me it's not part of why only 16% of wow Cows are female.
The simple fact that female Ronso have been a thing for 2 decades, yet this fan art is the only popular art of one speaks volumes as to why SE would humanize the females.

At that point if we swallow this so-called pill we’re openly advocating for lazy design.
Make the already existing cat girl race a little taller - slap on a minimal amount of fur texture - and tweak their face.
At least the male Viera actually look like their female counterparts. I guess Fem Hroth don’t deserve the same.
Not in their minds, since they want their waifus and will rage if female Hrothgar doesn't follow the following stupid logic. At that point if we swallow this so-called pill we’re openly advocating for lazy design.

Yes, those girls are supposed to be the females of the animal races to the left. Yes, this is completely stupid and infuriating. No, we don't want this trash as female Hrothgar.
I forgot about this anime! But now that I think about it I guess this is what people want for Fem Hroth. And if it does happen? I’ll be genuinely disappointed by Sqaure. I’ll accept it. But it’ll be a sore spot since the only options I’ll have left is to stay as a Lalafell. Not in their minds, since they want their waifus and will rage if female Hrothgar doesn't follow the following stupid logic.

There's four different feline faces currently: lion, tiger(?), coeurl and ronso. Lion head I can see having a no hair-style option because lion (and this is assuming Hrothgar hair is still limited to faces by then).I say, in regard to female Hrothgar, it should be a slightly toned down roe female base with a cat head & no hair options. The fanart I genuinely dislike because it's just a blue female Roegadyn Hellsguard (I mention the clan because of their nose) with cat ears and a tail, especially when you remember that FFXIV playable races do not get unique hands and feet. Putting that next to a male Hrothgar would be extremely jarring because how are they the same race? One is clearly a beast, while the other is clearly cosplaying a tall nekomimi.
