The game should lock people out of sending any tells, invites, etc while you are in the initial tutorial. A fairly simple fix, have it set to auto busy until your into the full world.

Fubuki seems to have been playing Shadowbringer and talked about it on stream(but not playing) and recently did a stream of the live letter. Another is Ina from Hole-EN who seems to be ready for Endwalker and has cleared Ultimates.Pekora is part of Hololive. I think they might have recently started showing interest in FFXIV because one of the things that came through my FFXIV search was another Hololive member Fubuki watching i believe the recent launch trailer for Endwalker. I don't think atm any of them has streamed an open world MMO before as they tend to do offline games, normal multiplayer games, or minecraft on their own private server. Not really things their fans can just show up on. So I suppose streaming an MMO for the first time when already being a well known streamer was probably overwhelming.
Some time ago Hole-ID gen1 did stream the game, but not nearly the same dogpile.
It will be interesting what happens with Irys, will she experience the same problems when she starts streaming it.
I think the English Vshojo group has streamed FFXIV a few times. But I don't think they did so while trying to play game content. I believe they just did a sort of fan party event in game as a group to interact with their viewers.Fubuki seems to have been playing Shadowbringer and talked about it on stream(but not playing) and recently did a stream of the live letter. In Pekora's case though I think it was more of a shock than anything else. Kind of similar to those situations in the past where a super popular radio personality decides to do a live event somewhere for the first time and gets mobbed by fans at the venue.

Ummm, it does. There was a group of FF14 players that were calling on everyone to mass report Asmongold when he started playing. They claimed he is toxic and didn't want him in the game. Go figure.

Indeed.

But wait, I show my age. Sorry bout that, how embarrassing. Silly boomer.
Ahem.

one of them mentioned that taiwan is a country, you can guess how a certain part of the fanbase reacted - and how the company behind those vtubers obviously catered to those people instead of standing behind their idolI don't like vtubers either, I'm yet to see one that's actually funny. All I see are weird, stiff 2D gifs making weird noises, baiting people to watch using obscenity.
I don't need to bully anyone though, if I don't like it I don't watch it, problem solved. I don't get why people feel the need to stalk them if they don't like them.![]()

That was quite the debacle but the company ended up siding with their talents fortunately and I'm pretty sure they're blacklisted from operations in China now. One however did eventually retire this year and people like to gossip that it's fallout from the incident last year.
they sided with the talent only when the rest of the fanbase complained a hecking lot, plus, said talent got noticeably less advertisements and collaborations with the others after the drama happened, something which clearly affected her a heckton - just look how many followers her non-holo vtuber persona got after she "retired to focus on a behind the camera role"That was quite the debacle but the company ended up siding with their talents fortunately and I'm pretty sure they're blacklisted from operations in China now. True, my main point was that they did side with the talent even if it was because of fanbase backlash. Most companies say screw the fanbase and cater to the Chinese market instead.they sided with the talent only when the rest of the fanbase complained a hecking lot, plus, said talent got noticeably less advertisements and collaborations with the others after the drama happened, something which clearly affected her a heckton - just look how many followers her non-holo vtuber persona got after she "retired to focus on a behind the camera role"
