Unless you can find a quote that says otherwise, Yoshi-P only suggested that Puppetmaster and Beastmaster could be implemented as future limited jobs. And this was in response to someone specifically asking about Beastmaster as a limited job. He did not say that adding them as limited jobs was the one and only option. Words like could, potentially, and possibility should not be taken as absolute.

I think you and I got completely different things out of that quote.

To me, he says that the idea of limited jobs itself opens up the availability of beastmaster and puppetmaster, as if they wouldn't be added to the game otherwise. Taking it as anything else feels like a reach.

Considering how Japanese phrase things, when he says

it def could mean two things... but that's because of what those words mean in English.
If you have / can find the original Japanese for what he said, we might be able to help pin down what he really meant.

yet that vocal minority has as much common sense as a thimbel does not realize that limit job is best way make beastmaster and it to work just like puppetmaster complex job make better limit jobs because it won't be for fool harder to tried

At this point, I firmly believe the Limited Job system has been quietly retired. They have said precisely nothing about another job in over two years. Even PvP has gotten more attention despite it being comically forgotten in Shadowbringers.

They're on a rotation. Blue Mage was updated in Shadowbringers. They're now planning PvP and likely deep dungeon in Endwalker, not to mention Endwalker itself. They'll come back around to limited job when the timing is right.

They're on a rotation. Blue Mage was updated in Shadowbringers. They're now planning PvP and likely deep dungeon in Endwalker, not to mention Endwalker itself. They'll come back around to limited job when the timing is right.

The problem with finding the right timing is that there virtually is none. Given the choice more players want new stuff like Deep Dungeon/Relic/Raid content as opposed to something that has a high barrier of entry to it like Blue Mage does, all for very little payoff and being permanently locked into old content that you have to manually group search for. Even PvP at this point seems more attractive to me than Blue Mage or goodness forbid another limited job.

The only *right* update Blue Mage needs at this point is for another 20 spells to be added that actually make up a normal-mode rotation. If Beastmaster ever gets added I would rather it be a clone of WoW Hunter because at least I would actually be able to use that in content for the expansion I literally have just paid for.

Well, as it should be clear by their talk of PVP, as long as there are enough people who enjoy limited job contents, they'll continue to develop for it. The right timing is when it doesn't clash with other nonregular contents.

Perhaps but PVP doesn't receive the same level of backlash at least that I'm aware of.
