So the reason for the delay is so they can properly do QA.

This means all the endwalker content is finished. Dungeons, raids, the story... and yes the jobs. They're just doing that quality assurance thing to try to make sure we have a smooth launch.

If SE decided they wanted to do a new content patch - no matter what was included - they'd have to basically do all this again. It's not just a matter of dumping in a slice of the content - they'd have to do all the setup around setting up a new patch, add then content, and then do QA on it.

And then further a complication is that the stat squish is changing potencies for jobs' old abilities, and Sage and Reaper are no doubt designed around the new stat formulas...

So, I think it's exceptionally unlikely SE could realistically do a content patch between now and Endwalker launch.



But look at it this way, we'll have all the time over the holidays to play, without also being pressured to raid during the holidays. We'll just have to look forward to having our fun in December. See y'all then ~
