That doesn't change the fact that the game should've released in a stable way in the first place, lol. It's SE fault for not being able to manage their time right as likable as Yoshi is. I mean i have also empathy for the team and i don't mind whenever it will release but that doesn't mean that it wasn't a mistake on their end and bad time management which affects now tens of thousands of players in a rather bad way.

I had enough time to do the other side of the 60-62 MSQ (complete with side-quests) in the Peaks while waiting for a fix. It wasn't "a few hours".

I had enough time to level SAM from 50-60, do the other areas quests, and still wait several hours a day or so later before getting through. It wasn't "A couple hours"

I think people who are unhappy after having made specific arrangements for the original release date are perfectly within their rights to feel this way, but I'd also like to add my own voice to say that I wholeheartedly support the delay.

I too made meticulous plans for my whole month based around the 19th November, and now find myself in a strange position of having two extra weeks. But watching the stream and reading Yoshida-san's message on the Lodestone, I know this decision was not made lightly, and was made only with the intention of improving the game experience for everyone. I can't possibly fault that.

To be honest, if the team made an announcement at some point where they said "we need to stop regular game updates for a few months/a year to work on improving X", I would be totally okay with that. Of course I love getting regular updates and am hugely impressed with how well they've kept to their schedule over the years, but sometimes a change is needed for a better result! I would rather have a delayed game that ultimately was a smoother and more rewarding experience than have it rushed.

Could this have been mitigated with better time management from the beginning? Maybe. But FFXIV has, for most of the past decade, had the most regular update schedule of content of ever-increasing quality of any game that I can think of. I'm totally okay with allowing them some slack here and there.

The point is that they have acknowledged it was a mistake. So therefore there is no reason to poke at it. Criticism is for the purpose of helping others realise where they can do better. It becomes a nuisance when the person already knows where they went wrong and has acknowledged it.

Voicing your dissatisfaction is important though, it shows them that they might need to consider such factors in the future and schedule their releases to a later date before announcing them. If everyone accepts stuff just in silence it shows corpos that they can do it again in the future, i mean why not people will just take it in silence.

Though i agree with you that there shouldn't be endless bashing and flaming.

My husband has worked as a programmer for 30 years. He's been in 3 different companies and they all set release dates for their products. Sometimes though things go badly unexpectantly and they have to unavoidably delay release dates. Is that bad time management? No, it's called @!#? happens.
