So did i hear correctly? Old "THE FEAST" Top 100 Rewards will become available again?

In wich he meant the Wolf Collar items, clearly. I just forgot about the multiple occasions he mentioned that old SEASONAL rewards will not be brought back. So the Weapons you can buy for Wolf collars will be available through the new reward system, wich is fine.

Is that the official translation? Cause so far I have seen 2 different wordings for it: "Rewards that were obtained" and "rewards obtainable from Feast" which mean either older rewards returning or only rewards like seasonal placement titles and achievement rewards. I think Yoshi needs to clarify this info

I don't think they mentioned the top 100 rewards. Keep in mind there are a lot of gear/items tied to feast.
The airship mount
The hellpup minions
Lots of titles (The undamaged/The unrelenting/Alpha wolf/Rhalg'rs Right Fist/Tablesetter Etc)
Wolf collars and all the hellhound weapons
All the Eversharp accessories from achievements (these look really nice actually)
Also, back in Seasons 1-4 I think it was, there were unique accessories you could get depending on your rank at the end of the season. A nice set of bracelets, necklace, ring, and earring. These are actually really nice accessories as well and were never touted as limited time or tied to placing in a season, they were just replaced later for the wolf collar mechanism.

I think it is these rewards that they have implied, rather than the ranked rewards themselves. I think they would have mentioned past top 100 rewards specifically to avoid any confusion, so just temper your expectations.

Honestly, I can understand the OP in one way. It's a shame when you work hard towards an exclusive time limited reward, actually achieve it and then discover you didn't even have to bother. Prestige is a valid reason to chase something, as much as people might get jealous it's a core part of MMO's to have shiny rewards to be proud of or encourage you into new content.

That said, if true it's still for the best.

Top 100 in a dead game mode is an extremely small fraction of the playerbase and the leaderboards were littered with win-traders. We're talking far, far smaller than Ultimate clear rate, which isn't time limited either. They've been putting developer resources and making some rather nice looking rewards that the majority of the playerbase would never get to enjoy.

I have all those Accessories on almost every glam too They were tied to the Tier tho not to the rank so they might come back. I did overreact a little, no question, i just really put a lot of work into the Coat specifically. I too have a feast reward, so I do have a horse in this race. No, I did not wintrade or cheat to get it. It is actually a minority at least here on crystal. Wintraders and throwers get reported often, and SE has dealt with a few of the cheaters. I put a lot of stress and effort into ranking. Many matches are streamed and there are a few streamers with archived matches. If there is any question as to the integrity of a majority of feast, I suggest looking a few feast streamers up and watching their VoDs.
I'd be ok if rewards were brought back through a comparable means (having to rank in a top 100 format, for instance) but I hope that it is not just given for brute-forcing battlepass ranks. That would upset me.

So wait, the old rewards are becoming part of the new mode? Are they still season based? If so, then nothing changes and its another chance to earn them.

If they re-release old rewards in new Feast and you still have to PVP/rank to get them, except it's now more than 100 people and is available to anyone willing to put in the effort/time to get them for that particular season, I AM ELATED. That is how it should be. Nothing should be off limits to anyone who is willing to sink their time and effort into playing to the best of their ability and nothing should be stuck behind some artificial barrier of "oh, only 100 people ever" when you have alts/win traders/boosters and the like. That kind of activity cheapens YOUR win when you play honestly and fairly. I won't compare it to the Savage mounts or Ex mounts because those do get cheapened over time (and literally no one cares) but probably more like the hunt tiger or even the Ishgard crafting mount. It's an investment to get it so it stays rare. That's what I think this should and will be.

Ehh, you can't put a whole lot of stock in things YoshiP says when he says "never".

We were never supposed to have Cloud's bike.

We were never supposed to have blue mage.

We were never supposed have Housing Savage.

Fan Fest items were never supposed to be available outside of fanfest.

But here we are. And I don't see anyone freaking out that he changed his mind.

He made that comment before I think the team realized what a mess Feast really is and how easily it can be gamed and exploited.

That + the huge influx of new players and holding onto that artificial gating is shooting yourself in the foot.

It seems like with this new mode you can still rank and earn rewards, and they're still seasonal, just available for more than 100 players, which is great since it means more people playing PVP.

As long as it still requires ranking in a competitive mode, that is fine. I personally do not care if rewards are recycled in this way, assuming it is of an equal difficulty/time commitment/skill to get.

if it is wolf marks or battlepass or other way that can be easily obtained from just putting in low effort into frontline/etc, that is not ok.
