Always warms my heart with how selfish people can be. /s The devs are apologetic and probably killing themselves to try and get the game out unbroken? WHO CARES? All I care about is how if affects ME. That's what it sounds like a lot of the time.

And people wonder why I'm a misanthrope. Humans are always so selfish and intolerant.

Note: I'm also someone who requested time off and I'm a bit disappointed. But I understand stuff happens and I can deal with it. I'd rather have them put out a working game without burning themselves out.

Reminder that SE is a multi billion company and not your friend.
People, CUSTOMERS, are entitled to express their dissatisfaction, especially considering they pay to purchase the game and its expansions in addition to paying a monthly subscription.
That said, it's not the end of the world but stop trying to shut other people up

Lol Do whatever you want with it, I have no power over you or anybody who chooses to use that time over a videogame. Doesn't mean Im not allowed to express an opinion that it could/should be used on something better or more important.
I love that people are allowed to voice what they want, but its so bad if anybody disagrees with it. But if the reverse were to happen they'd be upset and say that their opinion is just as important as anybody else's....when is convenient for them.

Neither can I. And if Endwalker released on the 19th. I still couldn't take off the time. It's black friday week, and that means everyone has to work. No exceptions, unless medical.

I still won't be able to take time off for Endwalker even with the Delay.

Feel however you want. But when taking PTO for a video game off, put in more thought than just. Developers said it releases now.. so i take PTO off then. Look at the trends off them delaying stuff, what the world is going through, and what their developers are going through probably mentally to just get this expansion out to people unbroken.

It's not always so cut and dry. You should be more understanding of that based off of your first statement. In my case, it was more of a 'the stars align' kind of thing. The week following the 19th is the only time I will be able to take off as we will be way too busy in December. I still have to take it off, just no EW now, so I will figure out something else to do with that time.

It's not like I'm going to bring out the pitchfork mob for the devs or anything though. It's just unfortunate, and I think it's ok to be a bit bummed about it. Especially so close to the previously announced release date.

Who the HELL are you to decide what is and isn't important enough for someone to spend their hard-earned time off on? I don't like traveling. Being able to stay where I'm comfortable, completely disconnect from anything related to the intense stress at work, and do something I truly enjoy IS important for me. Self-care is important. Unwinding and resetting yourself so you can go back refreshed is important.

I'm not here attacking the devs or being more than disappointed that I may or may not be able to adjust my time off. But don't you DARE sit here and cast aspersions on what I do with MY earned rest time.

So Im not gonna disagree with you on anything here, because I agree with it. My disagreement is people getting mad that they spent the PTO for a videogame.
Which Again, its not my place and I have no power to make anybody do anything, an opinion is just an opinion.

Just to throw my two cents into this. I have never scheduled time off for expansion launches until now. I have a pretty active social life and a lot of obligations that it made more sense to take time off for other things. However, I have been in lockdown since the start of covid. I live in an area that has a lot of travel, and I work with the public. This has meant that I am just not safe to be around my family (many are older or are in high risk groups) or friends (for the same). It's been rough, and for the first time it felt appropriate to spend those hours on a video game.

It's a really silly opinion to throw around when people keep repeating that their frustration comes from SE waiting to announce the delay on a Live Letter two weeks before the original launch date. At that point it doesn't really matter the ifs and whys when it was just a poor choice on SE's part.

There was no Feign, I had an opinion which Im allowed to have, and other people are allowed to have an opinion as well.
And I think its fair for both sides to have any amount of pushback should 1 person or a group disagrees.

I dont find it fair if someone says "we are allowed to say what we want" but then say "Your not allowed to saying anything against it"

The in-game trailer was very cool- quite excited for the expansion!

Looks like sRPG quality story telling again in an mmorpg, some of those areas were really wild looking too! I've really wanted to see a zeal like area for a while and that concept art is such a tease, can't wait. Am hype ~
