Bad Party, Encounter with a blonde, and a bit of a drop... Assuming I haven't forgotten anything/my not being caught up doesn't hurt, I figure she has four more lives left.

She's a sorceress I think since ShB had a lot of FFVIII influence (but no Rinoa or Quistis outfits :C bc enix doesn't care about their supportingcharacters) even though she wasn't bending time and space as they were doing in FFVIII: she still did some neat stuff.
maybe she will go reaper

I'd rather see Y'shtola removed from the main cast and be retired rather than have her go through another job evolution. The whole cats have 9 lives gimmick has gotten pretty stale by this point.
If we need a new poster girl, bring Yugiri back in or design a new character already.
Time Mage without SE actually adding it as a Job players can select cause doing that would make a lot of ppl cry on these forums increasing forum activity... >.>
Let's be fair, though: Urianger probably went AST because significant sections of his fanbase wanted to see his clavicles.
*I have complete confidence in this assertion.*
Sure, but all of those near-death experiences have an obvious connecting thread: The lady got stuck in a bad teleport and then got teleported out of a very long fall. That's... it. It gives as much reason for a Planar Mage as any Necromancer.
I can see Y'shtola getting stuck in a other timeline, like the one where the Crystal Sage came from and only the WoL and G'raha can travel freely back and forth to that timeline because G'raha has a connection to it and WoL has plot (lol). And if we ever get Y'shtola back, she'd probablymcome back as a time Mage, after having spent, countless years in that timeline learning how to effectively use time and space magic and tech. And so she'd be like a techno time and space mage of sorts that sits on the sidelines and only helps when we need to cross to other worlds. She's a sorceress I think since ShB had a lot of FFVIII influence (but no Rinoa or Quistis outfits :C bc enix doesn't care about their supportingcharacters) even though she wasn't bending time and space as they were doing in FFVIII: she still did some neat stuff.

You know, I could sort of see her becoming a Reaper, as many people pointed here how she brushes with death so much, lol. It'd be a pretty cool transition from Sorceress. Hey, maybe if that happens she'll end up becoming a sort of ambassador for the 13th once its saved and retire from the Scions like that! She already has a pretty cool relationship with the Night's Blessed in the First, so that could be a cool transition.![]()
Necromancer who control the dead corpses of Scion members to fight for her.

If you think about it, it was never job changes but first jobs.
Y'shtola was a conjurer, Thancred a rogue, Urianger arcanist.
Now Alphinaud finally gets one as well, going from a fake Scholar job.
You could debate that Sorceress is something else than WHM and BLM slapped together and therefore not a job.
But I don't think they will change soon, except if a new caster job that completely fits Y'shtola happens to be introduced.
If I remember well, Yoshida mentioned that the character going to the next arc will depend on their popularity. If Y'shtola is tiring the community, she might just not (or rarely) appear in the next arcs.

I was pretty sure they said somewhere that the main cast’s story is done in this expansion and we’re saying goodbye to all the characters, even if they survive the events of the MSQ.
I’m sure we’ll see them in cameos, but 7.0+ will be “and now for something completely different”.
If this is the case we'll never see the end of her as she's *insanely* popular in Japan.
To be honest, I'd very much like to see the current cast of Scions wrap up their stories and shift to background NPCs with very little, if any, significance to future content. With the end of the Zodiark/Hydaelyn/Ascian/Scions story arc, they've all served their purpose and it's time to move on.
It would be really cool to see the Adventurer's Guild (ala Mor Dhona) take a leading role in our activities going forward. Just open up branches in the various hub cities in the new zones and have them be the story-givers. "Garlemald needs to be rebuilt after the Final Days? Here you go adventurers, lots of quests for you to do to aid in that. Oh look, we discovered a new [raid], have fun exploring it." "Now that Eorzea's safe from the Primal threat and the nations have pretty much settled down, we're gathering an expedition to Merycidia and would love to have you along." etc, etc, etc
We'll also have the perfect opportunity to tie our GC Squadron into Trusts. Hell, why not do the same for Retainers too?
Summary: I'm personally done with the Scions and would be very happy for them to finish their story arcs and go back to Sharlyan where they belong.
