I think you use too much sensationalizing. I think you frame the video too much as "9.1.5 is supposed to be this last ditch effort" which generally makes zero sense knowing there is a 9.2 upcoming.
You think so? I don't do clickbait or buzzwords- in this vid I showed the info that is not readily available, like a shady start date for MT. Or the quiet fact that was recently released about not using any of the hour/day/week/month long grinds in MT. People don't know that, and being informed has shed light. I would say sensationalization is more for the big content creators that are a little more self indulging. The same day I posted this vid, the big names were lampooning the new store mount to garner likes. See the difference? 9.1.5 was announced as the MT coming back and aoe cap removed. Those are back pocket last ditch efforts under the guise of "content" for 9.1.5. Now that we're into November, folks like me are uncovering the actual details surrounding it. You advised I appear disingenuous, but I mean, objectively I seem pretty genuine in comparisonSE doesn't play to these tactics, they rely on a fun game, quite the contrast I thought I conveyed there, but I appreciate that it didn't get picked up. I may make some adjustments.
Everyone knew that Legion TW wasnt going to be available right away. Ever since they have added new Timewalking expansion events, they have not been in the game day 1 of the patch. Legion 7.1.5 and BFA 8.1.5 are testament to that. The issue about your video is that you are directing it to an audience who is pretty invested in the game we play. We know how to look things up and fact check. Bro, we post on a video game forum for an MMO.
Again, something that is supposed to scale you down to the expansion of that time should not take into account future borrowed power. Thats how you make things balanced and evergreen content. Think of it like this -- in DF, you scale down based upon the dungeon you do. Meaning, you dont have access to all your job's power and skills to use. How is this any different? Is SE actively forcing players to be bad by not having their full class potential in all levels of content? No, because it makes zero sense. Its a balance perspective.Or the quiet fact that was recently released about not using any of the hour/day/week/month long grinds in MT.
Because X.1.5 patches arent content patches and never have been. Again, this is like complaining about lack of new content during a X.X.5 patch in FF14.Those are back pocket last ditch efforts under the guise of "content" for 9.1.5.
How long have you played FF14? Because SE is very limited on the information that they give out on future content patches all the time, especially with no public testing. Again, this feels like a general "WoW does this and tis bad, but conveniently ignore SE does it too".objectively I seem pretty genuine in comparisonSE doesn't play to these tactics, they rely on a fun game, quite the contrast I thought I conveyed there, but I appreciate that it didn't get picked up. I may make some adjustments.

I think you showed your hand on sensationalism brother. Legion m+ and MT timewalking is a different beast, is the crown jewel of 9.1.5, and there was no reason to delay it into December other than to trick people into subbing in Nov, and then Dec. SE doesn't do this, you know both these things. I can't really touch on your other points as they're not coming from a truthful stance- thank you though.
So Blizzard's master plan to get two months of subs from people is to announce the date of Legion Timewalking is later on in the patch, show that in the patch notes, and make public attention to that fact? Do you know how literally stupid that sounds?
Brother, you've played the game for less than 3 months. Dont try to pretend to play a position of knowledge when you've openly shown your experience in your own YouTube channel. SE is not usually forthcoming with a content patch info until a live letter a month prior with actual details not being shown until in the patch notes for the patch. Hell, we are nearing the new expansion and we still know very little of Island Sanctuary (an entirely brand new system designed for casual solo content).SE doesn't do this, you know both these things.

Playing a video game does not equate to marketing knowledge, but I understand folks feeling a correlation there, or personal sense of entitlement to authority based on time played. You don't think marketing half-truths months out and effectively tricking consumers into an addition month of sub is at least a tad deplorable compared to keeping a closed lid/NDA on the mystery behind an expansion? I don't think they are comparable. I guess to each their own?
You keep saying a lot of words but no meaning behind them. Marketing knowledge would tell you that 9.1.5 is not a brand new content patch, so if you left previously due to lack of content -- why highlight it as a major systems change patch? Marketing knowledge would tell you it would not provide enough of a net gain to do such.
On top of this - as I previously said and you avoid addressing is that Blizzard has openly said its coming later in the patch multiple times in September/October. Which makes zero sense as a point of marketing knowledge to say (as said by you) "crown jewel" of the patch to come later. It means that you would receive an upfront burst of resubs or long-lasting subs from day 1 of the patch. Your argument is of consumer ignorance not of knowledge.
"But when SE does it its because of NDA". And you said I was arguing from a dishonest point of view. You don't think marketing half-truths months out and effectively tricking consumers into an addition month of sub is at least a tad deplorable compared to keeping a closed lid/NDA on the mystery behind an expansion? I don't think they are comparable. I guess to each their own?
WoW bad, FF14 good. Upvotes to the left.

It's a content creator talking about the same topic as you. Only better.
Not very long apparently. Hasn't reached 80 on a class yet. Also running an undergeared tank. Good luck to those he groups with.
I wont call out new players for making new player mistakes. I will however, recommend that he invests in buying gear from Crystarium to help upgrade his current pieces to current level.
How is this thread still going?! Mods asleep?! Hello!?
