:T I really doubt any of this will come to pass with the new rules. What a clever idea. PF groups become voice exclusive and silently disband for some strange reason that nobody can ascertain through text logs. Underperforming players who want to play their way because you don't pay their sub still struggle to find groups for some mysterious unascertainable reason. DF is ignored for non-story mode content, as it always has been. Oh, how mysterious it all is! I'm so sure that we'll all get along, the the big corporation sense of the phrase.
You can't force players with different objectives and standards to play the game together. Sorry not sorry.
I would have thought that this would be blatantly obvious. Players will follow the rules, to the letter of the law. If you say that chat is enforced with all these restrictions, then no meaningful conversation will happen through chat. But that's not the only alternative that players have to communicate with each other. Remember when they banned typing completely in PvP because players were 'too toxic'? Good Job! Good Job! You'll still be excluded for underperforming, but you just won't know why. "B-but you said that I did a good job! Why did the group disband?"
If people continue to make it a pattern of disbanding on anyone person I would imagine that could be called griefing tooI would have thought that this would be blatantly obvious. Enjoy Life you only get one.
No. As long you are not rude to the person in question and you won't kick him from a regular roulette without a valid reason everything is fine. No one is forced to play with someone else.
What is the blacklist even for anymore?
I mean I don't use it either but I am not easily offended. I thought that is what it was there for. If someone used profanity, talked about this or that, was rude or toxic etc. It was a self-governing system by individuals on what they thought was acceptable. Now even in an f/c if 1 of 10 people don't agree with the conversation they can report instead of just idk leaving the FC or talking to the leaders about it.
Most of the time if someone is being a real jerk, or in the rare moment that it is targeting me specifically, I'll take a few moments afterwards to calm my nerves and then continue about my day. They aren't worth the blacklist slot or a second thought. But the feature exists for a reason and I get that. However, you are buying into the over-exaggeration of the recent clarifications that took the forums by storm in recent days. Don't let that blind you. Nothing has changed. Absolutely nothing. They just added additional clarifications and examples to what was already there. That's it.I mean I don't use it either but I am not easily offended. I thought that is what it was there for. Man......
I don't even know what is going on anymore. I just play the game, poke noses and run in circles. Do people really run into that many issues with other players in the game? I guess they do otherwise this thread wouldn't be 61 freaking pages long.
Hearing the crazys but I don't know why
Seeing the maybes but I don't know who
Hearing the crazys more and more
Noone stop LIMSAS BEATS!
I've had a couple of bad interactions, but considering how long I've been playing the game it's basically nothing.
I think I got reported before because an ERP:er got mad at me because I /slap his girlfriend.
They were spamming with emotes and someone was annoyed I think and started spamming Holy on top of them and I and others joined in, his girlfriend /slap me for some reason I guess she just targeted one of us randomly and I /slap back.
I've never seen someone that mad ingame and one of his friends joined in too they acted like I had actually slapped her in real life.
Sure spamming Holy on them intentionally was not very nice I have no excuses I was just annoyed with my entire chat being their emotes and bored.
He said they had taken screenshots and reported me for harassment.
If people really get banned ingame for as minor things as people say then I should've been banned too?
I didn't even get contacted by a GM and considering how angry they were I am quite certain they did report me.
Maybe there are GM's that are way too harsh but at the same time I think most GM's have some base level common sense and won't ban you because you said a f-bomb in chat.
Tbh I forget I have it, I also forget about Mute in other games.
I think I only have one person on my Blacklist and that's because he was actually lying about me in raid chat.
He was trying to vote abandon the raid repeatedly over and over again and then when people got annoyed he started lying and saying it was me while gloating and insulting me in party chat.
Yeah I don't want to play with someone who's trying to essentially ruin everyones view of me ingame.
That's a pretty obnoxious extreme tho, if people are just being douchebags the Blacklist tends to just slip my mind entirely.
