Logged into my alt to do their MSR. I didn’t even bat an eye to which class I’m going in as, just insta-click. Then it pops! I’m excited to see that I’ve gotten Praetorium. Best time to fold laundries in between cutscenes

Once my cutscene finishes I see that few other are still loading in…. then something caught my eyes.

A CNJ icon. Who, and why???

Embarrassed, I apologized then auto-bailed.

The penalty window ended up being when I fold my laundries.

Well I've got another one now, courtesy of our Great Community and Trials roulette. Everyone loads in, we're all hanging about the barrier, only one player, our AST, is watching cutscenes. So I do the customary Square > X to examine gear, and I am given the gift of surprise, I'll 37 Altair, which I promptly link in chat and inform everyone of its existence. Then in between GCD's (this is Thok Ast Thok, btw), I request that said AST please go purchase from NPC in the jeweled crozier, Ishgard's marketplace.
That's when the floodgates & woodworks lift themselves for all the shitters and enablers to white knight to their heart's content. Just the usual nonsense: why do you care?!?!? ZOMG LUL, you look at gear??? Who cares, it's only just a normal; shut up and play, shit happens; yadda yip yip yap yap baloney and ham.
Since I am on ps4, so I don't have a keyboard to deftly maneuver, the last message I leave is "of course the enablers trip over themselves to white knight, well I ain't carrying shit and I hope you have a gay old time doing so yourselves!" And TIL you can't leave the duty in he middle of combat so i just close my ps4 and GTFO as no one would be comfortable in such a toxic casual environment save for the toxic casualists.
If I had the opportunity to rebut such banal idisyncracies, here's how I would've emphasized the basics of common sense and courtesy:
"Yeah, shit happens, but we also can both prevent that and take responsibility if it does anyway: take the 30 min penalty, go fix whatever's the issue, and re-q with appropriate gear. Respect everyone else's time by leaving of your own volition."
And why do you have to be so obnoxious about examining gear when literally everyone else can do so AND everyone can be examined? You have literally 0 point to your statement, and its obvious you're just here to stir shit. Ignore this fool.
Of course I care, if I didn't, I wouldn't queue into GROUP content. What is your fucking point? Just like the above, you're stirring shit to obfuscate the elephant in the room.
What a wonderfully great community, folks. By he way, I'm thankful that I'm not a mindless drone enslaved to the hive mind and can make my own decisions on how I want my time to be respected and used. Never ever gonna carry irresponsible, lazy, griefers.

had a DR run today for the weekly. Went in as BLM. Party was 6 dps and 2 tanks. me and someone else brought C4, counting on the RDM to rez us.

RDM was 1 of the few new comers and they seem to all be in my party. RDM understandably died a few times at seeker while trying to rez the others while alive but.... was noticably left for dead by the other parties. At the croc I ask if the other parties have a surpluss of healers since we had none, hoping to maybe reorganise groups. it was met by someone in shout responding with 'lol'. And thus, the tone for the entire run was set.

Considering the RDM seemed new, the RDM died. A lot and therefor was left dead a lot, despite pretty much everyone in the party using yell, say and shout to ask for rez. No real response from the others. To make it worse, after being dead for most avowed, the other parties raised their dead and moved on.

At queen there was an attempt from our party to communicate that our RDM was in a cutscene so it was only logical for the rest to pull the queen immediately. Our RDM ports in, dies, gets rezzed and proceeds to die from forgetting the knockback, landing at the most outer edge of the arena. Again my party asks for others to please rez our rezmage. Nothing. A few others of our party die BUT for some magical reason they do get rezzed. The RDM has been dead for about 70% of the fight. Must be a very fun and welcoming experience. And I have no good way to mass report this toxic situation. My party vocally expresses their disdain for how the RDM was treated before leaving for whatever that was still worth considering everything before that clearly fell on deaf ears.

Sweet jeebus... what is it about Brayflox Longstop that brings out the absolute weirdest players? I've decided to level up AST and BLM to 50 so I can get rid of all the 1-50 caster gear clogging up my retainer. I just got done with AST and moved on to BLM, which is currently 36, so I queued up for Brayflox since I hate the Temple of Qarn with a passion.

The group: A DRK tank, WHM healer, RDM and BLM as the DPS. I was expecting a minimum of competency from the tank since he wasn't a sprout, but fate had something else in store. They proceed to single pull the entire dungeon, which was honestly a blessing considering they barely had more HP than me as a BLM and the hardiness of wet paper. The WHM seemed to be trying their best but their gear was also severely lacking and they refused to use Esuna for the entire run (in a poison heavy dungeon, no less). The RDM was doing a perfectly fine job and probably tanked more than the actual tank, given that they would rip threat the moment they so much as looked at a mob the wrong way. I honestly have no idea what the tank was doing.

The tank suddenly went AFK mid pull at some point, said they got a phone call, and would regularly just... stop moving? They also died... like a lot, and the healer would proceed to hardcast rez them instead of healing the dps through the fight or, y'know, Swiftcast + Raise. The RDM seemed cool with all of this (I suspect they queued with the healer) and I was internally screaming.

We somehow limp our way to the last boss, where the tank collected those poison stacks like they're going out of style (No Esuna, remember? Plus, their reaction time getting out of Dragon Breath was 'slow' at best and 'nonexistent' the rest of the time). The tank dies, the rest of us soon follow suit as the WHM is, once again, hardcasting a raise, and we wipe. We run back, the Healer comments about the tank being squishy, tank agrees as they say they just picked up this class and apparently, so did the healer. We go again, there's no improvement from the first try, healer still won't Esuna, tank is kinda trying to drag the boss out of the poison but doing so at such a slow pace, another spawns by the time the coast is clear and tank goes down again. Thankfully this time we're able to finish off the boss and I exit that dungeon so fast, it's like i was never there.

Maybe I should take a break from Brayflox...

Diamond EX again. Both tanks in both attempts in the same party never used voke when ressed. I was number 3 on aggro, which after tonks died became 2 and stayed there until death. I get auto'd then finished with a proximity on both failed attempts. Next party. Both tanks took the tankbuster. Both died. We cleared that the same way DOTs cleared TEA by the skin of their teeth.

Lv80 Dungeon Roulette: Heroes' Gauntlet

Queued together with my AST friend as a WAR. Matched with an RDM and BLM. I took a mental note that the BLM is a first timer based on the notification and them watching the cutscene after loading in. Upon clearing first two wall pulls, I've noticed majority of my cooldowns came off sooner than expected... I start suspect one of the DPS is probably not so good. Oh well, whatever...

• First boss.
  - As expected, BLM repeatedly eating bad stuffs to the point of dying. Which is fine, first timer are often caught off guard in this encounter anyways.
• Road to the 2nd Boss.
  - My suspicion was confirmed. The BLM played a lv80 BLM like a lv50 BLM minus Flare.
  - Occasionally I'd see Fire IV that made me "Ooohh she gets it!!" but that quickly ruined by a follow up Blizzard III when they still had the MP for dozen more Fire IVs. This was done randomly to the point I just accepted that this will be a slower run.
  - Obviously, 2nd boss took forever up to the phases that I've never seen before.
• Road to last boss.
  - I made a comment simply out of honesty and just stating my concern with no particular intention but.... ([2]is my friend, [3]is the BLM)
  
  - Apparently my friend was somewhat ticked off by her reply.
  - Out of curiosity I view her search info. Dozen other classes leveled, including all 3 casters at lv80 coupled with an intro:"I'm sorry for being bad player."
  - Sounds sketchy? I don't know, and I don't think I want to know either... but moving on...
• Last Boss
  - The BLM legit stick in my rubble. She literally 'trusted' me and died for that very 'trust' (I holmgang'ed through)
  - Being a first timer, she confusedly typed "????" in the chat. I took my time telling her to stay within THEIR OWN so as to not die.
  - At some point before the boss creates two crater, shed asked in chat about the crater: "What is this? Are we going in here?" and literally just stood inside until Berserk took over them when none of us even moved in there yet. Down she go again.
  - The second time the rubble mechanic goes off, this time she decide to stack with my AST friend and killed them in the process. "Innocently" she exclaim in the chat:"I was in the rubble!!!". Guess somebody didn't pass their reading exam at some point.
  - Obviously ticked off, my friend blatantly congratulate the RDM at the end for the rez that saved the run and just said in the chat: "I'm gonna comm you UwU"
  - Before I forget, that BLM also never move out of the line AoE. I'm frankly surprised how my friend still commit to kept her alive despite the growing saltiness in them.

Didn't felt like uploading this until now because I'm missing last few parts of screenshots...but bah, who cares in this thread anyway? More stories to amuse the readers, if any.

Honestly, any time I see this in someone's search info or see them say it in chat, I just think: "Don't be sorry. Do better."

If you feel such a need to apologize for how poorly you're playing - ironically or not - then why not take the initiative to actually seek improvement and learn your jobs better? You clearly know, to some degree, that your poor play is a burden on other people you get matched with... so why keep perpetuating it and being fine with remaining that way?

I know the answer, obviously - but I still can't help thinking it.

I just got a PS5 3 days ago and I upgraded to the PS5 cilent. Which I didn't know was different from the PS4 Pro one. That shocked me. Ok.. on to the battle. After what I thought I was gettign used to the improved insane 60 FPS I load into a dungeon on my breaker. All hell broke loose.. I wasn't expecting 60 FPS to fuck me up THAT bad. The camera was so loose and my controls felt like I was going too fast. Least I load faster than everyone else now.

I've since gotten used to the improved frame rate. I also noticed the PS5 controller is softer on the buttons then PS4 pro. I still get abit amazed at the FPS tho. Inshort... FPS improvements apparently makes a difference. Who knew... not me.. least not in THIS game.

Not to mention that I'm seeing this behavior -again- after that ToS clarification. It really makes me wonder if she was actually trolling or trying to instigate an argument to fish for reasons to use that report function. I have to say though, my friend was being needlessly passive aggressive so I had to talk to them about it after that run.

I was merely acknowledging the run being slower than usual with no intention to call out particular who, yet it was funny how the BLM felt the need to respond. It's as if she felt being singled out but still choose to do all the shenanigans.
