Amazing another Asmogold topic, i already asked myself if the Asmo hype is still around. Anyway, this is the wrong forum for such topic. If you really want to express your condolence im sure his twitter, facebook etc. channels would be a far better place for this. The chances that he even might read your post there is way higher than here.

This wasn't for Asmongold this was for people in the community who watch him and may have been brought over to FFXIV because of him and to bring awareness.
I linked to his Tweet if people want to express their condolences.
Even the devs have acknowledged the role he has played in the increase in players and attention that FFXIV has gotten and he basically turned into a FFXIV streamer until his mom got worse and he had to take a break.


And lets not pretend as if this forum isn't filled with shitposting and trolling, this is more relevant to a lot of people playing FFXIV than a fair bit of what gets posted on here.

I also didn't see comments like this about Miura passing away.
How exactly was Miura related to FFXIV other than '' DRK big sword ''?
I am not saying it was wrong to bring attention to his death, because his work did inspire a lot of media but if so then so did Asmongold in bringing people over and opening peoples eyes to the game.

Same with people who want to get married and are trying to reach out to the devs to set things up and I've seen people post here about how their partners have passed away who played the game.
Maybe ask yourself why you felt the need to make this comment in this particular case.
His relevance is fairly obvious to anyone who ain't blinded with hate I'd imagine, there are even people in this thread proving that by saying that they started playing because of him.
Guy even got an hour long interview with Yoshi-P and brought a ton of other big streamers over to the game.
