Is SE ever going to update squadron

I just want more GC ranks...
It's one thing if we reach the end of content and it's not expanded, but another when there are further ranks listed for the player... that we may never be able to get to.

I doubt it. Command missions were probably always just a prototype for Trusts. We might see them go up to 70 but beyond that there's no need as Trusts exist now.

IIRC this was asked in an interview a while back and the answer was something along the lines of "since ranks don't really do or mean anything there's no point in adding more until we figure out what we want the GC system to actually do."

Well that's a shame, but thanks for the info.
Considering the different grinds it takes to get to (current) max rank, and their disinclination to put content behind too large of a gate, I guess we may never see more ranks.
